Mike’s “Lollipop” Nickname In The Sticky Explained

It Is Connected To His Criminal Backstory

InThe Stickyepisode 5, the gang is confronted byJamie Lee Curtis' Beau, a senior member of the crime family that Mike belongs to. Despite Mike proclaiming to be a high-ranking criminal, Beau reveals that this isn’t the case, with him being the laughingstock of the crime family. This is mainly tied to a failed heist job that Mike pulled off before the events ofThe Sticky, one that earned him his Lollipop nickname.

Mike returned to the crime family with a truck full of what was supposed to be valuable electronics, proudly boasting his accomplishments. Upon opening the truck, however, the family discovered that it was full of useless candy. While attempting to pin the mistake on the truck driver, Mike’s gun went off and shot the son of his boss, making his situation even worse. Because of this story, Beau calls Mike Lollipop, constantly reminding him of his screw-up.
