Had Ed Ramsey forced Shannon to die through lethal injection inCross, he would have failed to replicate the death in a fundamental way.

Since Ed finished the first two steps before the ceremony was interrupted,he was going to inject her IV with potassium chloride, which would have killed her rapidly.
