Assassin’s Creed Shadowshas become one of the biggest games of 2025 so far, and as a treat for fans, the lead actors for the game tested their real-life sword-fighting skills.Assassin’s Creed Shadowsfeatures dual protagonists: a shinobi named Naoe and a samurai named Yasuke. The characters are played by actors Masumi and Tongayi Chirisa, respectively, and in this new video, the two squared off against YouTube content creator and actor Toru Uchikado.
In the video byToru Uchikado, Masumi and Chirisa are interviewed by Uchikado about their backgrounds, how they got the lead roles inAssassin’s Creed Shadows, their experiences acting and motion-capturing the game, and of course, they both participate in a choreographed sword fight with Uchikado. The final result is an informative and impressive display of sword skills and acting abilities.

The initial sword fight is between Uchikado and Masumi, with Chirisa appearing as a surprise guest during the fight,eventually ending with both of them teaming up to defeat Uchikado and striking similar poses to ones featured in the game.
Upon viewing the video, it becomesimmediately clear that both actors went through extensive training to prepare for their roles. Masumi explained that she started training in martial arts and sword fighting because she also starred in the filmYakuza Princess,performing many of her own stunts. On the opposite side, it was Chirisa’s first time doing a sword-fight scene (both actors had stunt doubles for the flashierAssassin’s Creed Shadowsmoments).

During the interview, Masumi states that she is still performing inAssassin’s Creed Shadows, which is most likely for thepurported upcoming DLC expansion, rumored to have over 10 hours of additional content. Both actors also agree that they have good chemistry, and they have a lot of fun working together, sothe DLC expansion is probably going to bring a lot more of both Naoe and Yasuke and their relationship.
