Today’s Connections Category Hints
FEBRUARY 10 #610
Today, I felt like the puzzle was challenging but doable. I really thought I was going to lose, but I got a correct guess at the last possible moment and managed to secure the victory. If you pay attention, you can see patterns but most of them, at least to me, and at first glance, it looked like there were not enough words to fill a category. That made it hard, and it felt like I needed a dictionary to check every meaning of a fair few of the words inside.
10 Best Connections Tips, Tricks, & Strategies
Four categories with four words each sounds simple, but the daily challenge of the Connections game can prove difficult without a few tips to help.
If you still need help, you cancheck out the category names. Based on my experience, however, the challenge of this particular puzzle will likely make you look to the spoilers.

“AAH, ENOUGH!”
SCATTER
SHOWER
This category was the one that felt fairly straightforward and didn’t need a dictionary to pick out. That being said, there are still some unusual definitions here, such as PEPPER, that you might only know if you do a lot of cooking. I don’t typically use it, but I have heard it used in this context before. That was why this category felt easier to me today, although without that knowledge it might have been much harder. Luckily, I was able to get this one down before moving on.
NOSE
NOTE
This category involved scents, and it was hard. This ended up being the Hail Mary, and I was able to solve the puzzle because I got it in the end.AROMA and NOSE sort of gave a hint that it was scent-related, but NOSE doesn’t typically mean the scent itself. BOUQUET and NOTE are also very circumstantial and it took me a long time to figure out how to put the category together. It was a very lucky last guess that got me over the finish line.

The Password Game can be frustrating as it uses complex mechanics that can be difficult to figure out, even with help.
TRUCE
UNCLE
This one is also tricky, as the presence of both AUNT and UNCLE in the puzzle make it hard to separate them. You also have to know, or Google let’s be real, that UNCLE has a separate meaning that would end up in this category. The rest of the words definitely go together, but at first glance, it does look like this category is missing a word and that you may be on the wrong track. However, it is correct and you were right the first time.
TOMATO
VASE
This last category is a fun mix of words that are pronounced very differently by different people in different places. I think it’s particularly difficult to guess this one,as you likely only pronounce these words one way and wouldn’t necessarily think about it as you are looking at them. However, once you do see it, it is very hard to unsee it and I personally will be looking for it when I’m solving aConnectionspuzzle until I forget about it once more. Knowing my luck, that’ll be when we get another version of this category.
