WrestleMania Championship Matches Heat Up
Gunther, Charlotte Flair, and Tiffany Stratton Up The Ante For Las Vegas
It’s been simmering for a few weeks, but this is the week that Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair took things to another level. After Charlotte made short work of B-Fab,Stratton and Flair took things into the trenches. Flair leapt off an announcer’s desk, and so Stratton dived from the screen above the entranceway. Charlotte and Tiffy brawling back into the arena from backstage to interrupt the start of Miz TV was a brilliant final touch too.
With things reaching European shores, it should come as no surprise thatGunther was the star of SmackDown this week. By taunting the Barcelona crowd about Madrid’s sporting prowess, putting on a match that simplyhasto be seen with Axiom, choking out the valiant Spaniard after a stunning display from the NXT man, and starting to make things even more personal by passively threatening big brother Jimmy,Gunther made Jey Uso a bigger babyface this weekwithout the Yeeting superstar having to move a muscle. The Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas can’t come soon enough.

The Street Profits Get Theirs
Montez Ford And Angelo Dawkins Win The Tag Team Championship
Since coming back at the Royal Rumble, everything has come together for The Street Profits. They’ve always had great in-ring chemistry, but fans were never really given a reason to root for Ford and Dawkins. Since getting their mean on,every bit of The Street Profits heel turn has worked, and they are worthy SmackDown Tag Team Champions. Along with recent title victories for Iyo Sky and LA Knight, The Street Profits' shock championship victory only adds to a crazy WrestleMania season that just keeps on giving.
Even having enjoyed Dawkins and ‘Tez’s new style and authority,DIY dropping the titles was a shock. The SmackDown Tag Team division has been brilliant for around six months at this point, with every team in the mix for The Street Profits’ titles feeling like worthy contenders who’ve been given airtime to develop their relationship with the audience. Pure fantasy booking, but this set of tag teams and a whole host of ladders could do something incredible at WrestleMania.
WWE got their European tour off to a phenomenal start, witha possible TV Match Of The Year contender from Gunther and Axiomin his home country. The Street Profits superb heel turn has its crowning moment, as Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins are WWE Tag team Champions again for the first time in 4 years, with Pretty Deadly waiting for them as Number One Contenders and the whole SmackDown tag division on notice. Elsewhere, Jacob Fatu slowly becoming the captain of The Bloodline is paying dividends every week, Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest’s feud has depth and feels personal, and Tifany Stratton and Charlotte Flair going to war was a blast. Paul Heyman tells us Roman Reigns is definitely on the cover of WWE 2K25, and Cody Rhodes is all kinds of ready to meet John Cena on Monday.
