The Romantic Consultant is a career path inThe Sims 4Lovestruck. They are experts on love and can coach others on how to find romance or enhance an existing relationship. They gain special outfits, rewards, and interactions with other Sims. To advance in the career, your Sim needs to be lucky and love themselves, along with being a smooth talker and a bit of a brainiac. How much of the latter two skills will depend on which branch you specialize in.
Like most careers inThe Sims4, the Romantic Consultant’s promotions are based on Skill ranks. Makinga Sim who builds Skills quicklyis key to advancing upward. Consider picking skill-related traits when making a family in Create A Sim. This can include theOverachiever,Genius, andAmbitioustraits. You will also want to keepLikes and Dislikesappropriate for daily tasks. After all, if a Sim hates their job, then promotions will be less frequent.

Working To The Top Of The Field
SelectFind a Jobon the associated Sim’s phone or computer to begin the Romantic Consultant career. The Sim mustbe at least a Young Adultfor the Romantic Consultant option to appear in the next window. This is even true for a Teen Sim who has already graduated from Copperdale High inThe Sims 4 High School Years; they must age up first, even if they are asuper genius enrolled in college.
YouTuberElliandragave the new career a try. Most of the job involves using the computer to research topics and chat with clients. For career promotions, the Sim will need a good Romance Skill level, either by reading books or experiencing love firsthand.
The Sims 4 Discover Universityhas not been updated to include a specific Romantic Consultant degree. However, you’re able to indirectly gain the required Skill ranks by majoring inCommunications,Economics,History, orPsychology. With the expansion pack installed, you can also attend Skill classes via the phone.

Matchmakers prefer to help single Sims find new love or discover great dating spots for established partners. Besides the existing Romance skill, you will also want to focus heavily on the Charisma Skill. It is a good idea to practice speech with aSelf-Love Wall Mirror, among thebest new Buy Mode items inTS4.
If you want to try the Matchmaker career early, play as theNadir family living in La Suite Del Flechazo. Valentina Nadir begins new games ofThe Sims 4as a Love Connection Specialist. But, depending on your Neighborhood Stories settings, she may quit or retire automatically.
