Yi Debuts Her Unique Electricity Power To Save Her Family
TMNT: The Last Ronin II - Re-Evolution #2- 2024 (Tom Waltz & Kevin Eastman, Ben Bishop, Esau Escorza and Isaac Escorza)
Dispatched by a reluctant April O’Neil and her daughter Casey Marie to help quell a fight between two of the city’s worst gangs, Uno, Moja, Odyn, and Yi jump into the fray equipped with multiple ninja weapons, badass battle masks, and palpable enthusiasm for proving themselves as heroes. Caught under a falling wreck of a police car, Yi raises her hands to the sky as if to catch it from squashing her and her siblings, and in her desperation, conjures up an electric force field that stops the car in its tracks, officially debuting her power on panel.
A power triggered by the stress of a painful death bearing down upon her and her family,Yi creating an electric charge out of thin air is a confounding yet intriguing development, as it’s only been hinted that there’s more to Yi, her siblings, and their unique mutations than what’s been seen thus far. However, it’s worth noting that since Yi is the smartest in the group, this power might simply be a homemade piece of gear — her battle mask in particular looks very tech-like — something that’s left unresolved as Yi’s newfound power is the final image of this issue.

Yi’s New Power Allows Her To Create a Sphere of Electricity Around Her
Though it’s possible this electric upgrade could still be tech-based, the more likely reason is that Yi has finally manifested her own unique power similar to how her brother Odyn did after he learned to control his hardening ability earlier in this issue. The newTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtleshave their work cut out for them in a city that’s ready to tear itself apart, so fans will have to check in next issue to see how Yi handles her electric ability and whether or not the rest of the team will get their own power-ups as well.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) is a multi-media franchise that began with Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird’s comics in the 1980s. Throughout the years, their comic books expanded to movies, TV shows, video games, and toys. Most notably, the animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ran for nearly a decade and has become a nostalgic staple of the ‘80s and ‘90s. Several other movies have featured the four anthropomorphic turtle brothers (Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael), including the trilogy of live-action films in the ‘90s and the more recent movies Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and its sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.
