Pizzo Impersonated An Exaggerated Version Of Each Character
Towards the end ofHarry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Ron, Hermione (Emma Watson), and Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) approach the fourth challenge on the way to finding the immortality-granting stone. They come across a life-sized wizard’s chess set. Ron quickly deduces they will need to play as some of the pieces and he ably duels the magical opponent. However, Ron realizes he will need to sacrifice himself to win,leading to an exchange between the trio that could be kindly described as overly theatrical.
There are plenty ofgreat performances from the child actors inThe Sorcerer’s Stone, but they were still just kids. Grint was the oldest at the time, at 12. It’s natural that there may be some instances of overacting; it takes nothing away from the story. Kimberly Pizzo still recognized that it was a silly moment and posted an incredible reenactment of the scene on herTikTokon June 01, 2025. Pizzo plays all three characters in the scene (using her room as a set), and affects exaggerated versions of each of the actors as they say their lines.
The thing is,she sounds quite a bit like the characters, just amped up to an absurd level. As of August 2024, the video has 4.3 million likes and over 518,000 shares. Pizzo herself is just hilarious, putting all her effort into each character, and her over-the-top voice still matches the tone of each character. It’s hard to watch the original scene now without hearing the TikTok video.

Of course, the viral video quickly made its way through the internet, creating a ripple effect of copies, reactions, and additions to the scene and to the TikTok video itself. One TikTok user,@maxforpresident, posted an excellent listicle in June 2021, ranking all the quotes from the scene, making sure to do her own impression of the characters.
Another post in August 2021, from@teenieweenie95, featured fans of the Pizzo’s video wearing shirts with lines from the scene.
A third excellent video, from October 2023, sees the dance couple@jamesandjasmindoing a choreographed and highly animated dance routine set to Pizzo’s video.
