The finalTerrariaupdate has been delayed and will likely not be released until next year. The long-running sandbox mining, crafting, and building title has been working on Update 1.4.5 since at least 2022 when it was announced for 2023. The scope of the update has grown since then, and developer De-Logic has been working on bringing new content to fans.
Details for Update 1.4.5 and much more were revealed in a lengthy developer update on the officialTerrariaforum. According to the update, the team hoped to have the update finished by the end of the year, but “that isn’t looking to be the case.” Due to various end-of-the-year holdups,Re-Logic has decided to push the update back for a very wholesome reason: “We are also not going to force anyone on our team or anyone else’s team to crunch for what would be an arbitrary deadline.” As a result, the next update will arrive sometime in 2025, with developers going at a comfortable pace for the whole team instead of forcing them to crank out content.

16 Best World Seeds In Terraria
Terraria has a lot of amazing world seeds, with many of them being secret world seeds that unlock new and incredible challenges for willing players.
This won’t be the first time thatTerrariahas collaborated with another popular indie title. Two years ago, the title introduced acrossover event withDon’t Starve, which brought monsters and gameplay elements from the survival horror game intoTerraria.Update 1.4.5 also promised to bringDead Cellscrossover content, which is still in the works in the delayed patch.

The upcomingPalworldcollaborationwill likely have monsters and elements from each title appearing in the other’s style and world. It’s possible that the delayed update will also introduce thePalworldcontent, but it seems more likely that it will be added in a separate patch.
Terraria Keeps Pushing Out More “Final” Updates
This Terraria Update Will be The Final Update For Real, Maybe
It’s honestly incredible thatTerrariais still making updates on the game, which has been out since 2011. The game is loved by many, myself included, for its open-world exploration and crafting, presented in a charming 2D style. It’s currently sitting at an overwhelmingly positive review score onSteam, with anincredible 97% out of over 1 million reviews giving it a positive rating.
Despite being over 13 years old, Re-Logic is still making free updates to the game. In fact, it’s become an ongoing joke that every recent update has been the “final” update, finally putting an end to the free content being created for the title. However, every time the team releases a final update, they begin work on the next one. The upcoming Update 1.4.5 might actually be the last update toTerraria, although fans of the game wouldn’t be surprised to head about the next “REALLY final” update that might follow.
