A few top players registered for this tournament in Bolivia
The stakes are getting high in the competitive TEKKEN 8 community, with only two TEKKEN World Tour Master events left to earn standing points. On the other hand, some top players on the global leaderboard can relax — they qualify for the TWT Finals for sure. They skip big qualifiers, giving a chance to other contenders earn standing points.

Such an occasion occurred at Punishment 3. No one from the top 14 on the leaderboard attended it. And even Arslan Ash who registered for the tournament did not participate in the matches (he is 2nd and already qualified). That allowed a strong player from the South American region to win and jump from the 40+ placement to the qualification limit of the top 20.
Everything about this tournament is here: the stream, schedule, some info on other top participants, and final results.

Arslan Ash talks TEKKEN 8 at Evo Las Vegas: “I never thought that I would make it this far. I’m so happy I have come this far.”
“When I was a child, we used to have an arcade center in front of my house. So coming back from school, I used to go to the arcade center with my cousins and my brothers and my schoolmates.”

TWT competition: reaching the top 20
While most guys in the leaderboard top 10 do not bother with earning points at the moment, the second half of the qualifying limit is still in danger and should strengthen their positions. American players are eager to do so — or to try and reach the top 20.
TEKKEN 8 players from other regions are in a similar situation. They need a top placement here to break behind the top 20 barrier (which is 975 points and above at the moment).
