Stranger Things Will Byers Henry Creel Karen Wheeler

“Everybody’s potentially in danger. That’s kind of what makes this show so exciting and what I think is going to make this season so exciting. We saw how intense [season] 4 was, we saw how everyone was surviving by the skin of their teeth in [season] 4, and we saw that some of them didn’t [survive] in [season] 4, and that’s going to continue in [season] 5. That’s why we have a show. You never really know what’s coming, and I think that that maintains itself really poignantly throughout [season] 5 and I’m excited for people to experience that, I’m excited for people to feel that fear. That’s what makes watching the show fun, you care about these people. You want them to do well, you want them to make it.”

Can Stranger Things Really Kill Its Core Cast?

The Series Has Avoided Killing Its Original Cast.

While the single-seasonStranger Thingscharactershave often found themselves tragically losing their lives to the horrors of the Upside Down, its core cast members have been spared from death. Jim Hopper (David Harbour) was confirmed to have survived the StarCourt incident even before season 4 had aired early in production, while the critically wounded Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) is confirmed to play some role despite her injuries and coma state. As such, audiences may be skeptical about the threat the main cast faces in the final episodes.

However, even with Sink’s involvement, it is unconfirmed how her character will return, and whether she will be physically active or be a mental projection. Furthermore, on-set photos fromStranger Thingsseason 5 have hinted that the threat will be much closer to home for the heroes, asVecna has been seen alongside Holly Wheeler(Nell Fisher), taking on a more human form to infiltrate the real world. Holly didn’t have a huge role in past seasons, so the villain targeting her shows that his plans for revenge followingStranger Thingsseason 4’s endingwill be much more personal.
