Despite this, it was a faithful adaptation, as mostly the anime skipped the internal monologs of the characters and rephrased some dialogues to shorten them but still didn’t stray from the intention of the source material, like the added moment of Jinwoo deciding to get retested. Moreover, some scenes skipped in the anime are the thoughts of the Hunter’s Association Chief in charge of the test and the hunter that was next to Jinwoo waiting to take the exam.

However,one scene that offers more background about Sung Il Hwan was cut from the anime, as when Dongsoo is asked if he is a monster, the American sub-director shows him camera footage of Il-Hwan rescuing civilians, proving that he is not ill-intended at all.
