Our Take On The Streaming Release Date For Sing Sing

It Should Have Come Sooner

Sing Sing’s shifting widerrelease dates were somewhat baffling. Looking at how it lines up with distributor A24’s award season campaign, however, clears up some confusion, asthe wider release effectively garnered attention for the film during the midst of awards season. Now that the Oscars are around the corner, I would have preferred forSing Singto come out on Max before the ceremony, which could’ve garnered more attention and inspired viewers to root for it.

Oscars 2025 Nominations: Predicting The Winners Of All 23 Categories

The Oscars 2025 are rapidly approaching, and with nominations now officially announced, we’re predicting the winners of all 23 categories.

Considering Domingo’s raw and heartbreaking performance, andSing Sing’s striking subject matter, the film could have garnered sufficient attention for the awards season and, thus, more support. The ending lingers with viewers in the best way, and, directly after seeing it, I wanted as many people as possible to watch it and discuss its compelling themes. While I can see the logic behind lining up its wider theatrical run and streaming release with its awards campaign, I thinkSing Singwas strong enough to perform well on its own merit.
