Severanceseason 2 gets a new tease in the form of 12 new images, teasing Innies heading outside the office and a new child employee. After a critically-acclaimed debut outing in 2022, the hit Apple TV+ series is now gearing up to return for its sophomore outing, picking up the story of Adam Scott’s Mark Scout and his fellow Lumon Industries employees who have had their work selves surgically separated from their home selves.Severanceseason 2is now confirmed to arrive on July 10, 2025, and Apple has been sharing hints of what’s to come.

Vanity Fairnow releases new images fromSeveranceseason 2, teasing some exciting developments for the Apple TV+ mystery series. One of the images, for example, featuresMark standing with coworkers Dylan (Zach Cherry), Irving (John Turturro), and Helly (Britt Lower) in matching winter weather garb, while others show off returning cast members Tramell Tillman and Patricia Arquette. One of the images provides a first-look at Gwendoline Christie’s new character, and another seemingly teases that Lumon has a child employee. Check out the 12 new images below:

How The Season 1 Finale Sets The Stage For Season 2

TheSeveranceseason 1 finalefeatures Mark, Irving, Dylan, and Helly putting a plan into motion to access the outside world. The first image of Mark and his coworkers in matching cold weather clothing could be teasing what’s to come from their previous foray into the outside world, either revealing that the Innies manage to once again escape, or that their Outie selves somehow find each other.

Severance season 2 has finally confirmed a release date, but enough time has passed since season 1 that it’s worth looking back at the biggest twists.

The final shot of season 1 is Innie Mark realizing that his wife, played by Dichen Lachman, isn’t actually dead as his Outie thinks she is. The image that featuresIrving holding a “Missing” poster of Lachman’s Ms. Casey suggests Mark’s revelation will have consequences inside Lumon. Where Ms. Casey is will seemingly be a big question heading into season 2. The image of Mark talking to his sister, Devon (Jen Tullock), could also be related to Innie Mark’s discovery.

Severanceseason 2 will consist of 10 episodes, one more than season 1 had.

In addition to the newSeverancecast membersrevealed, the other images tease more about certain storylines to come. One image, for example, features Helly looking pensively out an office window, suggesting the reveal that Helly is the Lumon CEO’s daughter will have a big impact on her state of mind moving forward. Tillman’s Seth Milchick features in one image, looking, as ever, like he’s ready to discipline, with Arquette’s Harmony Cobel also appearing.

Will Season 2 Be As Strong As Season 1?

Severanceseason 1 has a 97% score onRotten Tomatoes. After three years of waiting and such glowing reviews, expectations are likely to be high heading into season 2. The new batch of images raises more questions than it answers, but it does suggest the show won’t just be retreading familiar ground. With some exciting surprises in store for viewers and a shake-up of the season 1 formula,Severanceseason 2 will hopefully be just as strong as more answers are revealed about Lumon and its employees.
