The episode saw Rimuru meet with the kings of Blumund and Dwargon, as well as with his old friend, Champion Youm, who is now the king of the nation known as Falmenace, formerly Falmuth. Each of these meetings was quite different from the last, showing how Rimuru’s relationship with these high-level nobles has improved over the course of the series. Welcoming guests is a key part of Rimuru’s duties as a leader during this festival, so Rimuru will just have to get used to dealing with these kinds of figures using the language of the nobility. The English dub is currently about three weeks behind the subtitled version, so fans can also expect that episode #17 will be the next episode to see a dubbed release.

Rimuru Welcomes the Royalty From Abroad
Episode #19 ofThat Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slimefeatured Rimuru welcoming his first guests to arrive, all kings of neighboring countries like Blumund, Dwargon, and Falmenace. However, Rimuru also took some time out of his busy schedule to take a special trip to Engrassia, where he met up with Yuuki Kagurazaka and his assistant Kagali, whose expertise in ancient ruins may be of use to Rimuru when it comes to exploring some ancient ruins in Clayman’s old territory.
Rimuru and Yuuki also paid a visit to the school where Rimuru taught, as Rimuru intended to invite his former students (as well as their new teacher) to the festival as well. The kids, who haven’t been seen in quite a while, were thrilled to see Rimuru again, and eagerly packed up to head back to Tempest with him. After returning, Rimuru set out to meet with the Lightspeed Hero, Masayuki, who was quickly drawing near. Rimuru was not regarded warmly by Masayuki’s party members, but Masayuki himself seemed to show little in the way of malice towards Rimuru, suggesting that he’s eager to find a way out of being enemies.

Rimuru Throws a Banquet to Introduce Tempest’s Culture
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slimeepisode #20 will see Rimuru’s great festival finally kicking off with a heavenly banquet for his most valuable guests. Based on manga chapter 110, many familiar faces will be there, even beyond the aforementioned kings and nobles who Rimuru has already greeted. Notable among the guests not yet mentioned is Hinata Sakaguchi, whose presence at such an event is a sign of the cooling of tensions between Tempest and the Western Holy Church. Without the Seven Days Clergy around spreading human supremacist propaganda, the Church is much calmer and less aggressive towards even other nations like Dwargon.
Another notable guest is the Empress of Thalion, Elmesia, who will be seen on an exceptionally rare trip beyond the borders of her own nation. She has some words planned for Rimuru, although just what those are will remain to be seen. Other guests include Milim and her entourage, which will consist of former demon lord Carrion and sky queen Frey, among others. Rimuru’s battle in the arena with Masayuki will also be on his mind, as he wonders just what the so-called Lightspeed Hero is capable of.
The long-awaited festival will finally be kicking off in the next episode, by all accounts.That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slimehas spent a lot of time building up to this event, so hopefully it will be worth all the anticipation.
