Summary

TheEvilseries finale is approaching, and with the latest episodes of the Paramount+ series proving that it’s going all-out, it seems likely that there could be some casualties along the way.Evilcreators, Robert and Michelle King, have promised that the final episodes will provide closure for the main characters. That said, some fan-favorite characters might not make it through alive. AsParamount+ has canceledEvil, everything is on the table, and no one can truly be safe.

Evilseason 4 has already shown it’s not afraid to kill off beloved characters, withSheryl (Christine Lahti) getting murderedin episode 10. This is likely just a taste of what’s to come in the upcoming episodes that will answer the question about the evil coming to New York. Given the show will soon wrap up, some characters are more likely to get a happy ending than others.

Mike Colter as David Acosta and Andrea Martin as Sister Andrea in Evil

What An Evil Spinoff Would Really Need To Be The Perfect Season 5 Replacement

An Evil spin-off show after the series finale could be the perfect way to keep the show’s magic alive, as long as it includes these elements.

7Sister Andrea (Andrea Martin)

Likelihood: Medium

Although Sister Andrea might be a little too one-note for some viewers, the demon-hunting nun has proven to be a widely loved character. If theKings decide to do anEvilspin-off seriesat some point, Sister Andrea would be a good option. But this could become a moot point though if the nun doesn’t make it out of theEvilfinale alive.

While it’s less likely that the Church’s frequently forgotten nun faces the chopping block, she’s still an outside chance of dying in theEvilseries finale. In a recent interview withScreen Rant,Martin hinted at a terrifying demon inEvilseason 4that will appear in one of the last two episodes.

Katja Herbers as Kristen holding baby Timothy in Evil season 4 episode 3

“I had to rattle off — because I was battling him — a lot of words, at the same time picking up props and having to kill him. So, it was a very challenging scene with a very challenging demon.”

The reason why Martin remembers the scene as challenging may also be hinting at her possible death. As she’s unsure if this demon is in the last or second-to-last episode, it implies that she survives to the finale, but that doesn’t mean she makes it out alive.

6Lexis Bouchard (Maddy Crocco)

Evilkilling off one of Kristen’s (Katja Herbers) daughters is not outside the realm of possibility. Over the past two seasons, there’s been a lot of interest focused on Lexis and how she’s tied to the grand evil plan. Then, in season 4, episode 11, Ellie (Anna Chlumsky) appears, who claims to be Laura, Lexis' sister from the future. Ellie told Lynn (Brooklyn Shuck) of a frightening future, saying“When Lexis is 35, and Timothy is 23, he will bring about a battle that will destroy the world."

Whether Ellie is legitimately Laura from the future or not, there’s still a chance that Lexis is sacrificed in some way. There are a lot of dark forces pointing at her, including Leland (Michael Emerson), who has long been convinced that Lexis will be the “ambassador” to the antichrist Timothy. So, of the Bouchard daughters, Lexis seems the most likely to meet her doom, but if she does, it would be more likely to be in a future form, perhaps as herself at 35.

5Grace Ling (Li Jun Li)

Likelihood: Medium-high

Although Grace has only appeared in a few episodes, she’s been an important part ofEvil. Her prophecies have been crucial to the Church and in finding out ’s The 60 and demonic houses in the codex, and a vision of her protected David (Mike Colter) when he was hospitalized. It’s unclear whether Grace will return for the series finale episodes, but it would make sense for her to come back to finish her work.

Grace may already be on borrowed time. She was almost assassinated when she drew the location of where Andy was being kept in Leland’s apartment, and although the prophetess had foreseen her own murder, she believed she would die that night. So,if Grace were to return, she would be a massive target for evil to come after her, and she would likely have important information that would help the good side prevail. This is why if she were to return for the final episodes ofEvil, she would be a candidate for getting killed, but also probably sainted.

4Timothy

In the current narrative, Timothy is only a baby. However, there’s a lot of speculation that baby Timothy is the antichrist. This is because Leland used Kristen’s stolen egg and his own sperm and had the fetus implanted in a surrogate.Sheryl may have thwarted the baby’s antichrist destiny when she got him secretly baptized, but if Ellie is to be believed, which she’s not, then he will still grow up and become what was ordained of him at birth.

Is Timothy The Antichrist In Evil Season 4? The Evidence For & Against Explained

On the Paramount+ series, Evil, baby Timothy is meant to be the antichrist. Is he really? Leland thinks he is, but Kristen and Ben aren’t so sure.

Whether or not Timothy is the antichrist, the attention around him can’t be ignored. As Ellie purports to be from the future and claims he’ll bring on the destruction of the world, and she has already tried to murder the innocent little boy twice,Timothy’s days could also be numbered. However, like Lexis, it’s unlikely to be in the current day, but rather in an episode that flashes forward into the future. If the show takes this path, Timothy will likely need to be vanquished to save the world.

3Andy Bouchard (Patrick Brammall)

Likelihood: High

Before season 4, episode 11, it didn’t seem like Andy would have much of a role in the finale episode arc. He’d been a bit forgotten at the mental health facility, and although occasionally mentioned, he was mostly absent. That all changed with the dramatic episode “Fear of the Future,” as it’s revealed thatAndy has been having an affair with another patient in his ward. His mistress may be Ellie, but that might also be a red herring.

There are two reasons why Andy is at a higher chance of dying in the Evil series finale. First,Andy hasn’t had his hero moment yet. He’s gone through so much turmoil throughout the entire show, so it’s time he had his moment and saved the day in some way. This could come as a moment where he sacrifices himself for his daughters or even for Kristen. Second, in Sheryl’s message to him before her death, she specifically warned him that he needed to protect Lexis. Sheryl had already predicted her own murder, so Andy may step up to protect Lexis.

2Dr. Leland Townsend (Michael Emerson)

Leland has beenEvil’s main villainthroughout its four-season run. He has manipulated characters and orchestrated a massive, but as-yet-unknown, convergence of evil. He used his DNA to create an antichrist baby, and he murdered his boss, the Manager Demon when a different child was announced as the true antichrist. However, as with most monsters in monster-of-the-week shows, the bad guys usually need to get killed off to restore balance in the world.

With this in mind, Leland’s days are surely numbered. His death wouldn’t occur until the climax of the final episode, but it seems necessary for there to be any real closure for the show. That said, even if Leland were to die and a different network picked upEvilfor another season, the show could continue. Naturally, a hypotheticalEvilseason 5 or spinoff show would have to make some tweaks to the story.

1Dr. Kurt Boggs (Kurt Fuller)

Likelihood: Very High

Kurt has been playing with fire for several seasons now, and it’s a surprise he hasn’t already met his maker. The psychiatrist has been increasingly playing with the dark arts and there hasn’t yet been much in the way of consequences. If anything, it’s been a boon to his career.

However, Kurt’s days are surely numbered, and if the show were to kill off any characters before the finale, he would be high on the list to go first. Further, he doesn’t seem to be too important inEvil’s final arc or the overall plan, so he could be sacrificed once he’s served his purpose for Leland. The actor has also been notably less vocal about the future of the show and his character, which could also indicate that his character’s story will be concluded soon.
