Pokémon’s Netflix Original Anime Officially Returning For Season 2

After a short first season, Netflix has officially announced the return of its chill take on the popular Pokémon franchise for a second season.

Now if you are not familiar with Studio Aardman, also known as Aardman Animation, it was founded in 1986 in the United Kingdom. The studio is famous for its stop-motion animation style as seen in projects likeWallace & Gromit, Chicken Run, Shaun the Sheep, and more. The studio has also dabbled with anime previously, asAardman Animation has close ties to Studio Ghibli,the studio co-founded by director Hayao Miyazaki. In 2006, the Ghibli Museum hosted an exhibit dedicated to Studio Aardman as Miyazaki loves the British production company. And now, it seemsPokémonwill stand in as Aardman’s next anime IP.
