Rocket Leader Sierra is inPokémon GOschemes with the other leaders and changes teams monthly to keep trainers in their tracks. This month, September 2024, Sierra decided to use various Shadow Pokémon that cover their own weaknesses throughout the battle. Although it might be tough to beat her, Sierra can be taken down with ease by simply knowing what to expect. Thankfully, if you do not win the first time, Sierra can be challenged repeatedly until you do eventually win.

Sierra’s Pokémon Team inPokémon GOfollows a pattern of Shadow Pokémon with elevated power per phase. Due to her Pokémon being in their Shadow form, they will also be much stronger offensively but weaker with their defensive stats. Look for higher Compat Power Pokémon that you can use to survive the harder hits. You should also use moves that can burn Sierra’s shields quickly so you can use more Charge Moves on her Pokémon.

Sierra’s Lineup and Best Counters (September 2024)

Know Your Type Advantages

The best types for your toolkit in this battle will beFighting-type, Fairy-type, Dark-type, Ground-type, and Electric-type Pokémon. Since Sierra covers each type fairly well, make sure to know your Pokémon’s weaknesses to preserve them for bigger threats. For example, you can start with Togekiss. To get a Togekiss, first, get a Togetic inPokémon GO. It can fast-move Charm and its way through Carvanha and Sableye really well.

Togekiss should never be used against Nidoqueen as she will use strong Poison-type moves that can knock Togekiss out fast. Instead, use Krookodile or Garchomp on your team to knock out Sierra’s last Pokémon.
