Atlus recently offeredScreen Ranta playable preview for the upcoming expansion toPersona 3 Reload,Episode Aigis - The Answer -. This new DLC is an updated version ofEpisode Aigiswhich served as an epiloguefor the previous versions ofPersona 3. As the DLC takes placeafter the events ofPersona 3 Reload, players will not be able to continue playing as their protagonist from the original game.
Episode Aigisis heavily combat-focused, so it benefits nicely fromPersona 3 Reloadsupdated system and visuals. Though it doesn’t appear from the preview that there will be any major updates to the story of the DLC, its updated visuals and gameplay make this the definitive version ofEpisode Aigis. Players who never played the earlier versions ofPersona 3will also likely be happy that they can now experience the full story of the game for the first time.

Is The Persona 3 Reload Expansion Pass Worth It?
Persona 3 Reload’s expansion pass is a controversial offering, and deciding whether the content addition is worth purchasing can be complicated.
Character Designs And Cutscenes Have Been Improved
Like the rest ofPersona 3 Reload,Episode Aigishas some significant visual improvements over its counterpart fromPersona 3 FES.Though designs for Aigis’ battle armor, Metis, and the Abyss of Time are all consistent with their original appearances, they have been given the same visual upgrades as the game’s previous characters and locations. Metis also has an updated portrait like the rest of the characters. Long-time fans of the series will be excited to see the updates made to these familiar elements of the DLC.
The visual improvements also extend toEpisode Aigis’ anime cutscenes. These have been redone byWIT Studio, known for working on shows likeAttack on TitanandSpy x Family. Watching Aigis confront Metis and awaken to her new Persona in the newly updated animations was a real treat, and the rest of the DLC’s animations will likely be up to the same high quality.

Episode Aigis Adds New Combat Mechanics For Aegis And Metis
Some aspects ofPersona 3 Reload’s version ofThe Answerare consistent with the original version. Aigis’ original Persona is replaced with Orpheus as she inherits the protagonist’s role as SEES’ Wild Card. Metis also has a similar move set inReload, but there have been some updates made to both characters. Playing with both characters inPersona 3 Reloadsupdated combat system is a lot of fun. It was exciting to see thenew combat animations for the characters, as well as their All Out Attacks and victory screens.
For onePersona 3 Reloadgives both characters their own Theurgy, a mechanic that is exclusive toReload. Metis’ Theurgy, Orgia Mode, deals with heavy strike damage to all foes and ignores resistance. It also makes Metis operate on her own for a few turns. This replaces the Orgia Mode tactic that was previously available in older versions ofPersona 3. Aigis has two Theurgies that were shown off in the preview, Cadenza which heals party members while raising their accuracy and evasion, and Justice which deals damage with a high chance of landing a critical hit.

What To Expect From Persona 3 Episode Aigis -The Answer-
Players Will Explore A New Dungeon
Persona 3 Reload’s version ofEpisode Aigiswill largely be the same as the original version in terms of story and setup. Aigis fills in for the protagonist and helps lead the party through the Abyss of Time dungeon. The SEES crew are stuck in a time warp inside their dorm building, so they cannot explore or participate in social activities as they do in the main game.
Players shouldn’t go intoPersona 3 Reload’s upcoming expansion expecting the same full experience as they had in the base game. This is largely a dungeon crawl, though thankfully through a dungeon that isn’t Tartarus.Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis - The Answer -launches on August 05, 2025. It will also be the last new content released for the game
