The Ingenuity Utility Belt is a handy endgame item inPath of Exile 2. It has a unique set of effects that players can use with almost any build. It interacts nicely with your other equipment to create powerful buffs that you’ll almost certainly wantfor your endgame build.

The only issue is thatthe Ingenuity Utility Belt isn’t easy to come by. You’ll have to track down and defeat a difficult endgame boss, and even then, it’s not a guaranteed drop. Still, it’s worth seeking out to bolster your endgame build. Here’s how you can find the Ingenuity Utility Belt inPath of Exile 2.

How To Get The Ingenuity Utility Belt

Getting An Audience With The King

You’ll need to beat a boss named the King in the Mists for a chance at the Ingenuity Utility Belt, but before you even do that, you’ll need to find a rare item called An Audience with the King. Like the Belt, this is a rare item you may only obtain once you’ve beaten the campaign on both Normal and Cruel difficulty, and entered the endgame via the Atlas of Worlds.

Path of Exile 2: How To Get Combat Frenzy & All Effects

Path of Exile 2 is filled with Spirit Gems that can be the cornerstone to builds, but Combat Frenzy and the charges it creates may just be the best.

One of the unique endgame mechanics you’ll be dealing with is the Altar of Favors, which is effectively a shop that allows you to purchase map nodes and events instead of items. Altars of Favors only accept Tribute as currency, however, so you’ll need to save up quite a bit before you may afford an Audience. (That is, if one even spawns.) Tribute can be earned by completing Ritual events on the Atlas. An Audience with the King typically costs between 2,900 and 3,700 Tribute, but the cost can be decreased by deferring it.

As an alternative, you can also buy an Audience from the online trade portal or Currency Exchange inPath of Exile 2. Prices fluctuate, but are usually pretty high. Still, if you can afford it, this is an easy way to skip a lot of Tribute farming and Altar luck.

Of course, if you’re willing to pay for it, you may also just buy an Ingenuity Utility Belt via the trade market, but expect it to be even more expensive than the Audience.

Either way, once you’ve managed to get your hands on An Audience with the King, you’ll want tobring it back to the Realmgate, which will open up a portal to The Crux of Nothingness. This is where you’ll find and fight the King in the Mists - but before you do, make sure you follow the steps below to get yourself prepared.

How To Beat The King In The Mists

The King in the Mists is a difficult, two-phase boss fight with lots of mechanics to get a handle on. In the first phase, make sure you destroy the totems he spawns as quickly as possibleto avoid taking damage over time from them. Dodge his attacks, and keep moving so he doesn’t root you to the spot. He’ll occasionally teleport around the arena and spawn adds around his Mystic Fetishes; try to destroy these quickly, too, to avoid becoming overwhelmed by his allies.

The Best Loot Filter To Use In Path Of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2 can get a bit cluttered with all the different currencies and equipment, but using this filter makes collecting a breeze.

Once you get him down to 25% HP, the King will teleport you into a labyrinth. Follow the floating lights from one to the other to find your way out, and you’ll enter into the second phase of the fight.

In phase two, the King in the Mists focuses more on trying to hurt you with AoEs. One to watch out for is the tornado he summons, which, if it hits you at all, will cause armor break. Again, keep moving so you don’t get rooted, dodge his attacks, and avoid the frogs and explosive purple lumps he summons around the battlefield. Eventually, you’ll wear him down and be treated to one of the five unique items in his loot table.

Do note that, the higher the difficulty level you fight the King in the Mists at, the more likely you are to get each of these items. However, difficulty level four is the only level at which the From Nothing Diamond can drop, so you may actually be less likely to get the Ingenuity Utility Belt at that level.

How To Use The Ingenuity Utility Belt

Equipment Synergy

You can equip the Ingenuity Utility Belt just like any other piece ofgear inPath of Exile 2. It has a single charm slot that you can use to equip any charm you like, but more importantly, it has two permanent effects:

In effect, this means that any time you use a Life or Mana Flask, you’ll receive a portion of the healing as soon as you drink it, instead of receiving all of it over time. More importantly, though, the Belt will also increase the efficacy of your equipped rings. This gives it great synergy withalmost any kind ofPoE 2build; so long as you have rings that suit your character well, it’ll make them even better.

And that’s everything you need to know about the Ingenuity Utility Belt inPath of Exile 2. While it may take quite a bit of effort and luck to come across one, the benefits of finding it are well worth the cost. Therefore, you should take the time to seek one out in the endgame ofPath of Exile 2.
