There is only one character that I’m confident will not die inSquid Gameseason 3. TheupcomingSquid Gameseason 3will be much different from any other season of the hit Netflix series. Unlike the first two seasons of the show,Squid Gameseason 3 will not introduce a new batch of characters and see a new iteration of the games begin. Instead, the third season will pick up not long after theending ofSquid Gameseason 2. This means that season 3 will continue the stories of the new characters introduced inSquid Gameseason 2.
At the end of season 2, Gi-hun’s rebellion againstThe Front Manfails, which means that the games will continue in the third season. Even though he had to sacrifice some people’s lives, Gi-hun was hopeful he would be able to save the majority of the players by ending the games through his rebellion. However, after the death of Jeong-bae, Gi-hun will be at his most hopeless point ever at the start of season 3, which will once again undoubtedly be a deadly season. However,I believe one character will survive the events ofSquid Gameseason 3.

Squid Game Is Setting Up Kim Jun-hee To Be The Only Survivor In Season 3
Not Even Squid Game Would Kill Off A Pregnant Woman
While many different people are participating in the games, Jun-hee is one of the standoutplayers inSquid Gameseason 2since she is pregnant. It is revealed thatJun-hee decided to partake in the games after her former partner, Myung-gi, abandoned her. Their relationship proves to be very complicated, since Myung-gi is also playing in the games. Even though he is a flawed character, Myung-gi makes it clear that he wants to be with Jun-hee at the end of season 2. However, Jun-hee isn’t sure that she can trust him.
My Favorite Squid Game Season 3 Theory Is Darker Than Anything The Show Has Done So Far
Squid Game season 3 could prove to be the darkest and most intense seasons of the series, with one wild final game theory appearing highly likely.
While she doesn’t fully trust Myung-gi,Jun-hee teams up with Gi-hun and his allies inSquid Gameseason 2. Gi-hun and his closest allies, such as Jeong-bae and Young-il, who is actually The Front Man in disguise, help to protect Jun-hee throughout the show’s second season. It is not a surprise that Jun-hee survives the events ofSquid Gameseason 2, since killing a pregnant woman would be by far the darkest thing to ever happen in the show. Because of this, I am confident that Jun-hee will survive to the end of season 3, as well.

Jun-hee’s Pregnancy Can Be The Key To The Front Man’s Redemption In Squid Game
The Front Man Worries About Jun-hee’s Health In Squid Game Season 2
The Front Man, also known by his real name, In-ho, enters the games as Young-il inSquid Gameseason 2, but Gi-hun and his allies do not know his true identity. Gi-hun and the other characters actually grow quite close with In-ho by the end of season 2, which allows him to successfully sabotage their rebellion. However, before returning to his more villainous Front Man persona,In-ho proves that he cares about Jun-hee’s well-being inSquid Gameseason 2.
The death of his wife and unborn child was likely the catalyst for In-ho eventually becoming The Front Man.

Before becoming The Front Man, In-ho was a police officer who accepted bribes to pay for his sick wife’s medical bills. While opening up to Gi-hun inSquid Gameseason 2,In-ho reveals that his wife was pregnant when she died. While he could’ve been making up a backstory for his Young-il character and lying to Gi-hun, this moment seems genuine. Therefore, the death of his wife and unborn child was likely the catalyst for In-ho eventually becoming The Front Man and ensuring the continuation of the games.
Even though In-ho has proven time and time again that he is a villainous character, his relationship with Jun-hee could be the key to his redemption inSquid Gameseason 3. Since he lost his wife and child, it makes sense that he has taken a special interest in Jun-hee. Because of this, even after all the terrible things he has done, In-ho could prove that he still has some goodness left in him by sparing Jun-hee’s life inSquid Gameseason 3.
Why Most Of The Squid Game Characters Will Most Likely Die In Season 3
The Front Man Will Torture Gi-hun In Squid Game Season 3
However, before he is potentially redeemed, The Front Man will definitely continue to be the main villain of the series for most ofSquid Gameseason 3. In fact,The Front Man will probably be more ruthless than ever after Gi-hun’s rebellion at the end of season 2. In season 2, The Front Man decides to join the games so that he can better understand Gi-hun’s mindset and form a close bond with him before eventually bringing him down. The Front Man lets Gi-hun’s rebellion proceed, but ultimately wants to prove to him that the games cannot be stopped.
Squid Game Season 3 Will Ruin The Entire Show If Any Of These 6 Things Happen
Squid Game season 3 could go many directions, but these six narrative choices could ruin the Netflix entire show.
This is precisely why The Front Man executes Jeong-bae right in front of Gi-hun at the end of the second season. The Front Man wants Gi-hun to have no hope left, and will undoubtedly continue torturing him in season 3. After his rebellious actions at the end of season 2, Gi-hun will probably be forced to watch a lot of the other players die in season 3. With each of their deaths, The Front Man is further proving that there was never any chance of Gi-hun ending the games.
Gi-hun’s Story Will Be Complete If He Stops The Games (Even If He Dies)
Gi-hun Could Die A Hero In Squid Game Season 3
Even though Jeong-bae has been killed and the rebellion failed, there is still some hope for Gi-hun. After all, Jun-ho and his team are still searching for the island, and will likely find it at some point inSquid Gameseason 3. However, even if they do find it and help stop the games, I don’t think Gi-hun will survive. While Gi-hun is a kindhearted character who deserves to be happy, he doesn’t necessarily have to livefor his character arc to be complete.
Netflix has announced thatSquid Gameseason 3 will premiere on August 07, 2025.
As long as he proves to The Front Man that the games can be stopped, then Gi-hun’s arc will be complete. Some theories suggest thatGi-hun will become the new Front Man inSquid Gameseason 3, but I think it’s much more likely that he will die as a hero. Gi-hun definitely won’t be able to save everyone inSquid Gameseason 3. However, out of all the characters, I don’t think there’s any chance that Jun-hee dies inSquid Gameseason 3, and her survival will allow the show to end on a hopeful note.
