Max & the Midknightsis coming toNickelodeonin October, andScreen Ranthas a first look at exciting information about the show. The series is based on aNew York Timesbestselling book trilogy by Lincoln Peirce which follows the adventures of 10-year-old Max, an aspiring knight, who leads her friends on adventures to bring peace to the Kingdom of Byjovia. The first book was published in 2019, and the series was greenlit just two years later, in November 2021.

What To Expect From Max & The Midknights On Nickelodeon

Max & the Midknightsis set to bring theatrical flair to Lincoln Peirce’s characters when it debuts on theaptly named Nickelodeon. The premiere episode, “Welcome to Byjovia” will introduce viewers to Max, who dreams of fighting dragons and becoming a celebrated knight, but instead finds herself an apprentice troubadour under her Uncle Budrick. After a run-in with a thief, Max and her uncle travel to the kingdom of Byjovia which Uncle Budrick quickly learns is not at all as he remembers.

Max and company will be brought to life by an exciting cast of comedy, science fiction, and fantasy veterans led byStar Trek Discovery’s Blu del Barrioas Max. The cast also includes Melissa Villaseñor (Saturday Night Live) as Millie, Zeno Robinson (Transformers: Earthspark) as Simon, and Caleb Yen (Beyblade X) as Kevyn. Additionally,Max & the Midknightswill feature Jeremy Rowley (iCarly) as Uncle Budrick, Gary Anthony Williams (Central Park) as the retired magician Mumblin, Brian Stepanek (The Loud House) as King Gastley, and Indea de Beaufort (It’s Pony) as a sorceress named Fendra.

WhenMax & the Midknightscomes to television on October 30, it will also have an impressive pedigree behind the scenes. Peirce serves as an executive producer on the project alongside Jane Startz (Ella Enchanted, The Magic School Bus), and Sharon Flynn (Big Hero 6: The Series) and David Skelly (Kung Fu PandaTV series) act as co-executive producers and showrunners. The family-friendly series will be full of adventure, comedy, and even all-new original songs.
