Boruto: Two Blue Vortexhas had the deuteragonist at his lowest for more than a year, but finally, his time to shine has come. However, there is a caveat to this, as, although he will become more powerful than ever, he will also be at his most vulnerable and at risk.
In chapter #18 ofBoruto: Two Blue Vortex, Kawaki attacks Amado andasks him to remove his limitersand change his power settings, turning his offensive powers all the way to max. However, Sumire interrupted and Amado took advantage of this by uttering Kawaki’s shutdown code. Once Kawaki woke up, the two talked about the threat of the God Trees and how unexpected their awakening was. Amado decided to adjust Kawaki’s offensive settings, butthis comes at the cost that his healing and defensive abilities will be low, and thus, will make him very vulnerable.

Kawaki Finally Gains the Power to Fight On His Own
Kawaki Has Become Stronger but Also More Vulnerable
SinceBoruto: Two Blue Vortexbegan, Kawaki has suffered multiple losses and beatdowns. He was humiliated by Boruto, knocked out by Mitsuki, and beaten by Jura and Hidari. However, he managed to come out unscathed. This was all thanks to Amado, whoraised his defensive ability so high that he was basically unkillablebecause he needs him to resurrect his daughter. Amado’s decision to change Kawaki to an attack-oriented role means that his healing abilities will be negatively affected, as it appears Kawaki’s parameters function on a zero-sum basis.
“Pitiful”: Boruto’s Ultimate Insult To Kawaki Officially Addresses The Series' Biggest Issue
Boruto insulting Kawaki for not training may be the series' way of addressing one of its biggest issues.
Although Kawaki has been on a losing streak, he has consistently demonstrated his power as a character. He was able to defeat Code without his limiters, a foe who was said to be more powerful than Jigen. Kawaki also showcased his skills against Boruto, who was possessed by Momoshiki and even managed to temporarily kill him. Throughout this time, his offensive abilities were relatively low, focusing more on his defense. The idea that he could be significantly stronger than before is incredibly exciting. It’s not far-fetched to suggest that he could potentially be Boruto’s equal.

Although Kawaki’s repertoire of techniquesisn’t as extensive as Boruto’s, the abilities he possesses are extremely powerful. The Black Rods, in particular, are highly potent and remarkably fast; Naruto and Sasuke were effectively defeated by this ability during their battle against Jigen. With Kawaki’s limiters removed, his powers should become significantly faster and more lethal, and he may even be able to increase the quantity of Black Rods he can use.
Although Kawaki exemplifies the opposite of what it means to be a shinobi, he is remarkably talented in ninjutsu. He mastered the Shadow Clone and Fire Style jutsus within days, despite having no formal education. His adaptability and creativity make him an exceptional fighter, and fans can expect his limited ninjutsu techniques to become significantly more powerful.

Kawaki May End Up Doing More Damage
Kawaki’s Worst Nightmare May Come True Soon
While Amado did agree to make Kawaki more powerful, he set the condition that he would implant his Karma on a clone of Akebi, his dead daughter. Kawaki’s Karma has the data of Akebi implanted in it, and after many trials and errors, Amado realized that this was the only way to revive her. However, Kawaki refused to do this due to the possibility that Akebi would emerge as an Otsutsuki. After some back and forth, they came to the agreement that only after Kawaki took down the God Trees, Code, and Boruto would he implant the Karma onto the clone, and if she did become an Otsutsuki, Kawaki would immediately kill her, and Amado would fight back.
After being traumatized and abused by Jigen,Kawaki came to despise the Otsutsuki. It also didn’t help how Code and Momoshiki threatened to kill Naruto, the person Kawaki loves the most. Because of all this, Kawaki swore to exterminate them from the world, and he would eventually take his life too, because he too was part Otsutsuki. The possibility of Akebi becoming an Otsutsuki increases the threat of the world ending, so it makes sense that Kawaki is willing to kill her immediately too, even if he makes an enemy out of Amado.

While it was anticipated that Kawaki would eventually become stronger and competeon the same level as Borutoand the God Trees, the conditions and drawbacks associated with this power-up make it much more intriguing. Additionally, the potential revival of Akebi and her transformation into an Otsutsuki adds even more unpredictability to the already chaotic plot. Amado has once again revealed some fascinating information, andBoruto: Two Blue Vortexwill finally introduce the version of Kawaki that was seen at the beginning of the series.
