My Hero Academia’sDabiis one of themost terrifying members of the League of Villains. His Quirk, Blueflame, allows him to, as the name suggests, attack his enemies with blue bursts of flame. Not only ishe physically powerfuland talented at wielding his Quirk, Dabi is virtually immune to physical pain, shockingly resilient, and a very quiet, reserved person, keeping his true emotions hidden from view.
@iisadoraxon Instagram has pulled off a Dabi cosplay that looksnearly identical to the fiery hero’s anime appearance, down to the smallest details. They are wearing a simple white t-shirt, a long black leather jacket that is adorned with silver detailingand a pair of chunky black boots.

Silver cuffs surround his arms, matching the designs on the coat. Their hair is black and spiky, matching Dabi’s hair after he dyed it tomask his true identityand his naturally white hair. Their eyes are turquoise blue, further completing this cosplayer’s accurate transformation into the flame-wielding villain.
Dabi’s Tragic Scarring Is Recreated in the Cosplay
Patches of Purple Makeup and Staples Add Dabi’s Devastating Childhood Injuries to the Look
Of course, the aspects of this cosplay that most effectively turn @iisadorax into a walking depiction of theMy Hero Academiavillain are theface makeup, body makeup, and staple details on their face. Purple makeup has been used to create dark under eye bags with staples attached to them, as if affixing the skin to their face. Their lower arms are also coated in identical purple makeup to create the illusion of scarring there as well. Finally, their neck and chin are also painted to look similarly scarred, with staples carefully scattered around the edges of the wounded areas.
The origin of Dabi’s scarring is absolutely tragicand reveals his experiences of childhood abuse and neglect. His father, Endeavor, favored his brother, Shoto Todoroki, and no matter how hard Dabi, previously named Toya, tried to impress him, he could never gain his father’s attention. This mistreatment caused his Blueflame Quirk to run rampant and almost burn him to death one day when he became terribly upset. Although he survived, he was in a coma for a few years. Dabi lost many parts of his skin to the flames and these areas had to be replaced with new skin with the assistance of staples.

They Have Not Only Represented Dabi’s Appearance in the Look, but His Demeanor Too

He wanted nothing more than to get revenge on Endeavor, so he wasled down an immoral path by the League of Villainson his journeyto make Endeavor payfor his mistreatment. He is one of the most popular villains in the series, for his distinctive, unforgettable design, his aloof personality, and his Blueflame Quirk. @iisadorax has recreated theMy Hero Academiavillain’sscarring and staples, his outfit, and his cold, dispassionate persona perfectly in this cosplay, terrifyingly bringingDabito the real world.
