Amaranth’s explanation of how she ended up in Wanda Maximoff’s Emporium is unsettling, to say the least. She was found with no memory at ten years old, by a man who raised her as her father. The man was a celebrated psychiatrist, but Amaranth caused him to go mad. Amaranth ran away and found Agatha Harkness, who saved her life, but feared her, so after a month, shepawned her off to Scarlet Witch. Amaranth says Agatha was smart to be afraid, but Wanda claims that she is not, even if that makes her a fool.
