Taking part in a recent AMA (Ask Me Anything) on theLeague of Comic Geeks, one fan expresses to DeConnick how “Wonder Woman Historiais a generational book and it’s a shame that you weren’t able to continue with it the way you had planned.” Admitting that“DC has been very kind in saying that they’re open to a conversation about continuingHistoria,” DeConnick clarifies that “at the moment, it’s not them, it’s me,”giving an official explanation as to why a secondWonder Woman Historiavolume hasn’t materialized yet despite its continuation being something that has actively been addressed.
He’s Back, Huh? Wonder Woman Is Finally Revisiting Its Captain America Clone
Wonder Woman and Captain America are two similar heroes with incredible powers, with DC Comics' version of Cap returning to take Wonder Woman down.
Clarifying that she’s “swamped” and needs to “work up the courage to go back at it,” DeConnick says she has two more book ideas that are “complicated,” with her suspecting they “won’t be as universally well-received as the first,” something that seems highly unlikely. Originally planning to makeHistoriaa multi-arc talelasting at least six issues that was then downsized (in part) thanks to the long production times stemming from the highly detailed artwork found in each book,DeConnick has stated she has more story to tell beyond what was published, giving this potential sequel talk some serious validity.
