What This Means For Invincible
Invincible’s Cast Gets Even Better In Season 3
Invincibleseason 3’s castfeatures multiple actors from previous Marvel and DC movies, which is fitting given how the Prime Video show subverts the expectations of well-known superheroes and supervillains. Liu plays Shang-Chi in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Mara is Sue Storm in 2015’sFantastic Four, and Maridueña portrays DC’s Blue Beetle. BothLiu and Mara will play more villainous characters inInvinciblethan they do in Marvel, while Maridueña will not be straying quite as far from his DC superhero roots.
The first three episodes ofInvinciblewill debut on February 6.
As for Oliver Grayson, he is poised to have a much larger role now that he is older and voiced bySweet Tooth’s Christian Convery. In terms of the villains, thedescriptions indicate that Powerplex and Mr. Liu will be two of the most prominent villains in season 3. Powerplex’s energy absorption abilities and Mr. Liu’s influence in the criminal world will make them formidable villains for Mark and theGuardians of the Globe. Meanwhile, DiMaggio’s the Elephant will be more of a lackluster villain who is included for more comedic purposes.
Our Take On Invincible’s New Cast Members
Invincibleseason 3 is even more exciting now that its cast includes actors from Marvel, DC, andBreaking Bad. Paul is best known for playing Jesse Pinkman, while Banks is best known for playing Mike Ehrmantraut. Banks' character is likely being kept under wraps to avoid spoiling major plot twists that will be worth the wait. Since Banks' character is not being revealed yet, it is too soon to know if he will interact with Powerplex, but if this does happen,Invinciblecan deliver a satisfyingBreaking Badreunion.
