A set of leaks about a new character inHonkai: Star Rail3.2 has emerged, hinting at their importance to the current story arc, and after considering details about what they may represent,I’m certain that they will change everything about Amphoreus campaign. Version 3.2 is only a few weeks away as the turn-based RPG by HoYoverse moves closer to its end. Currently in the second half of Version 3.1, the game is offering players the last opportunities to pull for Mydei before his banner is replaced byCastorice inHonkai: Star Rail3.2, which will be a massive update.

The next patch was already formally announced by HoYoverse during the Version 3.2 livestream, which put the spotlight on the two new playable characters, Castorice and Anaxa. Following a sequence of leaks, the developer confirmed each character’s gameplay kit and also announced the new Trailblaze Mission Chapter, which should continue exploring the mysterious Eternal Land. The new quests set in Amphoreus will be split into two parts, one focused on Castorice and the other focused onAnaxa inHonkai: Star Rail. Each part of the mission will help develop the Amphoreus story arc, but one may contain daunting secrets.

New Amphoreus Character For Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 Has Leaked

Lygus Is Rumored To Be The Administrator Of Amphoreus

In this portion of the quests, a new character may appear. According to information provided by the leaker known as Uncle Greekmilk,a new character called Lygus will be introduced. The leak was shared in a post tagged as “Story” onReddit. As seen in the leak, this Amphoreus character will have a unique design, with what seems like gray-colored skin and a black helmet that covers their eyes. From underneath their helmet, it is possible to see medium-length gray hair and, from its sides, gray horns. Lygus seems to be surrounded by warriors from Amphoreus inHonkai: Star Rail.

Honkai Star Rail 3.3 Leaks: New Remembrance Character May Help Expand The Path’s Roster

Version 3.3 may introduce yet another Remembrance character to Honkai: Star Rail, even though their role in team comps is still a mystery.

The leak provides more details about Lygus. Uncle Greekmilk informs that Lygus is an intelligent machine that is part of Amphoreus’ Council of Elders. The leak also says that Lygus is a Pathstrider of Erudition and that he will have interactions withThe Herta inHonkai: Star Rail’s Versions 3.2 and 3.4. Furthermore, the leak reveals that Lygus was once gazed upon by Nous, the Aeon of Erudition. Lastly, the leak says that Lygus’s true identity is that of the administrator of Amphoreus and that he comes from another dimension. He is also rumored to know the truth about Amphoreus.

Lygus May Represent A Turning Point In Honkai: Star Rail’s Amphoreus Arc

The Rumored Character’s Status Seems Important To Amphoreus

The introduction of Lygus as a new story character in Amphoreus may represent a turning point in the campaign, especially if the leaks about his status as a member of the Council of Elders, Pathstrider of Erudition, and administrator of Amphoreus are accurate. If Lygus is a member of the Council of Elders and knows the truth about Amphoreus, there is reason to believe that he may have ulterior motives to impede the Flame-Chase Journeyled by theChrysos Heirs inHonkai: Star Rail, who are actively working toward the salvation of The Eternal Land by retrieving the Titans’ Coreflames.

Honkai Star Rail 3.2 Leaks: New Quality-Of-Life Update Should Improve Relic Farming (But Not In The Way You’d Expect)

Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 may bring a new quality-of-life update that will likely make farming Relics and Ornaments a lot smoother than usual.

It seems counterintuitive to make efforts against what could save Amphoreus unless salvation is not what he desires or he knows that reclaiming the Coreflames is not the answer. This prompts the question as to why he isn’t providing a clearer answer to help the Chrysos Heirs. There are also a few important notes about Lygus’ alleged identity. The leak says that he was once gazed by Nous, but it does not seem like that is the case anymore. This matches his role as a Pathstrider of Erudition rather than a recognized Emanator like The Herta inHonkai: Star Rail.

As a Pathstrider, Lygus could still be heavily aligned with the Erudition, but perhaps using it in a way that defies the principles set by Nous. Not all characters are necessarily devoted to the Aeon that rules their Path, and Lygus could be an opposing force that sees the Erudition differently – which could have led to Nous averting their gaze from him.The tone of his rumored interactions with The Herta in Version 3.2 and 3.4 is also vitally important to determine his goals inHonkai: Star Rail’s Amphoreus story arc, even if they are untruthful at first.

Honkai Star Rail 3.3 Leaks: Cipher’s Kit Seems Unexciting But May Be Surprisingly Strong

Cipher’s gameplay kit in Honkai: Star Rail 3.3 has finally leaked and while it may seem unexciting, it may be hiding a huge potential for combat.

Lygus could be confronted by The Herta, who has already expressed interest in Amphoreus, or perhaps working alongside her at the behest of Nous. Amphoreus is fettered by three distinct Paths: HoYoverse has already confirmed that Remembrance and Erudition are two of them, while the third is a mystery.Because Erudition is one of the ruling Paths on Amphoreus, Lygus’s role could be a lot more important. He may be trying to overtake Amphoreus and hand it into the hands of theErudition inHonkai: Star Rail, much like how Sunday attempted to do so with the Order in Penacony.

Lygus could even be working within the Council of Elders as a way of impeding them from obstructing the Flame-Chase Journey.

There are a lot of theories to go around with the leaked information about Lygus, but if the leaks prove to be accurate,he will likely play a vital role that could shape the outcome of the Amphoreus and guide it through unexpected narrative directions. Summed with the rumors aboutPhainon’s true identity inHonkai: Star Rail, which could have devastating consequences to the lore, it seems like the Amphoreus story arc is going in a direction no one can predict quite yet and, hopefully, Lygus plays an interesting role, either as an antagonist or secretive ally.

Could Lygus Become Playable In The Future?

The Character Boasts A Unique Design, But He Could Be A Boss

For now, the leak implies that Lygus is an NPC and nothing more than that. Based on their unique design, however,it is possible that Lygus could be adapted into a playable character in the future, especially with his rumored yet explicit connection to the Erudition. Unless he proves to be a boss-like enemy within the story, there are still chances for Lygus to become playable, be it during the Amphoreus story arc or in the future since he doesn’t have a standard NPC design inHonkai: Star Rail.

Despite Honkai: Star Rail Leaks Pointing At This Unexpected Character Becoming Playable, I’m Not Convinced

There are rumors about a new playable character in Honkai: Star Rail’s future, but I’m particularly unconvinced that their release will happen.

For now, these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, but it shouldn’t be too long before players get some type of confirmation, even if partial, about Lygus’ role in the story, thanks to his rumored appearance during Version 3.2. With the release set for early April, Lygus should be introduced soon and, possibly, players will know more about his motivations – and with a clearer view of his character design, players could have better guesses about whether he will become a playable character inHonkai: Star Railor not.
