Lukas Gage only appears in a handful of episodes ofEuphoria, but he’s an interesting enough character that he deserves another storyline in season 3. After a very long and confusing wait, it appears that rumors ofEuphoriaseason 3 have been proven trueand the series will premiere sometime in 2026, though that’s tentative, and showrunner Sam Levinson is not exactly known for his expediency. With hope renewed for another season, the internet has been abuzz with whatEuphoriaseason 3 could be about and who could be returning.

For the most part, it appears that the main cast from the previous two seasons will be back, save for a fewnotable exceptions, like Angus Cloud, who tragically passed away at 25 after season 2. There are sure to be plenty of characters not announced yet who could still be returning, including Lukas Gage, who was a recurring character in season 1.Gage has had quite a solid career sinceEuphoria, appearing inThe White Lotus,You,Smile 2, andCompanion. If he has time forEuphoriaseason 3, he should be in it.

Tyler beat up badly in Euphoria

Maddy Hooked Up With Tyler To Make Nate Jealous

Lukas Gage plays Tyler Clarkson in four episodes ofEuphoriaseason 1. In the pilot, he returns from college and goes to McKay’s (Algee Smith) pool party, where he hooks up with Maddy (Alexa Demie), who is trying to make her boyfriend, Nate (Jacob Elordi), jealous. Though he pretends to be unfazed, Nate pays Tyler a visit in episode 2, “Stuntin' Like My Daddy”. Nate accuses Tyler of raping a minor and mercilessly beats Tyler unconscious trying to get a confession, though Tyler is adamant he didn’t.

Euphoria: The Best Supporting Characters, Ranked

Euphoria presents many memorable personalities. Some supporting characters like BB Brooks shine in their smaller parts.

In episode 6, “The Next Episode”, Nate forces Tyler to take the blame for choking Maddy, and in episode 7, “The Trials and Tribulations of Trying to Pee While Depressed”, Tyler is seen being taken to jail, and that’s the last of Tyler. This whole story goes to show just how far Nate is willing to go to make a problem disappearor absolve himself of any blame. He’s violent, vindictive, and clever, and for no other reason than being in the wrong place at the wrong time, Tyler becomes the focus of his ire.

Lukas Gage Thinks Tyler Should Come Back To Euphoria (& I Agree)

There’s Still More To Tyler And Nate’s Story

Though Tyler is in jail, there’s always the chance that he comes back. It’s not like he was found guilty of killing Maddy or anything, and if someone was going to be released on good behavior, it would probably be Tyler, considering how mellow he seems generally. If the character could be written back into the show,it sounds like Lukas Gage would be happy to reprise the role. He said about hisEuphoriacharacter (viaOut),

I think Tyler’s story is unfinished. It really is. I’ve been really lucky to be a part of the first seasons of all these really good shows and I think both those characters [Tyler and Dillon inThe White Lotus] have more to say and they also have… they kind of both have to claim their stuff. Tyler could own some shit and beat the hell out of Nate."

Euphoria Poster

It would be extremely satisfying for Tyler to come back from prison and give Nate what’s coming to him. Someone needs to do so, because Nate is almost cartoonish in his villainy after two seasons ofEuphoria. I wouldn’t mind at all if Tyler came back to set the record straight and knocked Nate down while he was at it.

Sadly, the production schedule forEuphoriaseason 3 has already been such a mess, that it’s unlikely anyone beyond the cast members in the original announcement will be major parts of the season. If Lukas Gage does return forEuphoriaseason 3, count on it only being for a brief appearance or cameo.
