Ethan’s Team Has Some New Members In The Final Reckoning

In everyMission: Impossiblemovie thus far, Ethan is the main focus, but he’s also joined by some key allies on his globe-trotting exploits. This team has evolved over the years, and one core member,Rebecca Ferguson’s Ilsa Faust, died during the events ofMission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning(2023). Rhames' Luther, the only Ethan ally remaining from the original 1996 film, remains alive, but his role was relatively small in the previous film, andMission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning’s trailersuggests it will be about the same in the next one.

McQuarrie has previously revealed that Rhames' scenes forDead Reckoningwere all shot at a studio in London.

Our Take On Benji’s Role In The Final Reckoning

Simon Pegg’s Character Has Become A Standout

Benji has defused nuclear bombs in twoMission: Impossiblemoviesnow, and he was nearly strangled to death while doing this in 2017’sMission: Impossible – Fallout.Whatever comes next for him inThe Final Reckoningis poised to be a high-stakes sequence, perhaps putting both his technical knowledge and field skills to the test like never before.

Benji isn’t as skilled a fighter as Grace or Paris (and likely Degas), but he has really come into his own over the past few movies, cementing himself as a strong field operative and a crucial ally for Ethan. WithMission: Impossible – The Final Reckoningset to potentially be the last, it’s possible that audiences will be saying goodbye to a beloved character, and it would certainly be devastating if that ends up being Benji.
