Ultimate Hulk is a member ofThe Maker’s villainous Council, a cabal of world leaders dedicated to keeping the world in their thrall, andsecretly runs a section of the Maker’s universe while also leading the Children of Eternal Light, a “pacifist” Buddhist cult.
The Ultimates#6 sees Tony Stark andthe rest of the Ultimates team- minus Doctor Doom - tricked into entering the mythical city of K’un-Lun where Hulk lies in wait, leading toa swift and brutal defeat at the hands of Hulk’s vicious Immortal Weapons: Decays’s Beautiful Daughter, Fat Cobra, Uranium Brother #235, Prince of Meltdowns, Bride of Nine World-Breakers, and Crane Mother of the Bomb.
The Ultimate Hulk’s ‘Immortal Weapons’ Explained
The Strange, Gamma-infused Versions of Their Earth-616 counterparts
As leader of the Children of Eternal Light, Ultimate Hulk is also the ruler of all the Seven Capital Cities of Heaven, mythical lands that exist on Earth-616 as well. The Immortal Weapons have always fought for and defended the Seven Cities, buton Earth-6160 they work directly for Hulk, acting as warriors for his fascist cause. Not only are the Immortal Weapons masters in martial arts, but they are also able to block and manipulate chi, impacting heroes abilities to use their powers effectively. On Earth-616 the most famous of the Immortal Weapons are Fat Cobra, Bride of Nine Spiders, Dog Brother #1, Tiger’s Beautiful Daughter, Prince of Orphans, and Crane Mother, who each have counterparts in the Ultimate Universe.

Unlike the Earth-616 Immortal Weapons, the Ultimate Universe’s Instruments benefit from having Hulk as their master. They honor the Hulk by choosing names like “World-Breaker” and referencing the Gamma Bomb that transformed Bruce Banner, and in turn Hulk levels the Weapons up by giving them Gamma injections. Thealready fierce Immortal Weapons are deadly martial artists who are also now Hulk-powered, leading to them using brutal attacks like “Fist of the Gamma Star,” “The Maestro’s Crippling Crescent Kick,” and “Atom-Smashing Thunder Clap.” Marvel has yet to reveal the Immortal Weapons individual abilities - instead showing them as skilled fighters empowered by gamma radiation - but hopefully there will be time to explore these new villains more, to see exactly what they are capable of.
There has been no mention of the Iron Fist or Danny Rand in Marvel’s newUltimate Universe, meaning Hulk could be this universe’s true Iron Fist… or a new hero has yet to be revealed.

How Can The Avenger Counterparts Ever Hope To Defeat The Maker’s Council?
Even with the combined forces of Iron Lad, Captain America, Hawkeye, She-Hulk, Giant-Man, the Wasp, Thor, Sif, and the Human Torch, the Ultimates were no match for the Immortal Weapons of Hulk. While the Ultimates were severely unprepared for what they were about to face, even with preparation, it isdoubtful they could have defeated the Immortal Weapons with their current roster. Thankfully, the Wasp showed that the Weapons could be beaten by killing Fat Cobra, but tragically, the battle leads to a death for the Ultimates as well… the untimely demise of the young Tony Stark.
It seems like the Ultimate Universe’s Hulk could have beaten the Ultimates alone, which means they really stood no chance against Hulk with his deadly Immortal Weapons. If the Ultimates have any hope of defeatingHulkand his monstrous gamma-powered warriors, they are going to need to gain some more heavy heaters, or find out how to take out the Immortal Weapons without fighting them directly.
