InMinecraft, players havelimited storage slotsavailable in their inventory. These slots can fill up quickly as players explore and gather resources. While players can craft chests for storage and to clear up space in their inventory, sometimes it can be a hassle to return to those chests and grab the items needed or put more items inside. Fortunately, bundles make it easierto have more storage in an inventory at one time.

Bundles allow players to store different items in just one inventory slot. Bundles have 64 slots and store items similarly to how they’re stored in the regular inventory. They canstore stacked items or singular itemsand can be used inside or outside of the regular inventory. Bundles are an excellent accessory for storing stacks of common items likemoss blocks and flowersor rare items likediamonds inMinecraftand gold ore.

How To Make Bundles

Clean Up Your Inventory On The Go

Before making bundles inMinecraft, a couple of requirements must be met. First, bundles are only available inMinecraftJava snapshot 24W33AandMinecraftBedrock Preview 1.21.30.23— game versions that allow players to test in-development features before full release. If you’re looking to install these versions, here’s how:

Choose either “Latest Snapshot” or “New Installation.”

Inventory in Minecraft featuring several bundles with armor inside.

Name your world and choose the Snapshot version under “Version.”

Xbox:

Open the Microsoft Store or Game Pass Library. Search for and open “MinecraftPreview.” Press “Install.”

PlayStation 4/5:

LaunchMinecraftand open Settings from the Main Menu. Go to the bottom left of the Settings menu on the sidebar and choose “Preview.” Select either PlayStation 4 Preview or PlayStation 5 Preview and “Download.”

Once either is installed, create a new world and turn on the“Bundles” toggle in the Experiments menu. Before you’re able to start crafting bundles, you’ll need to get your hands on some items:rabbit hide and string. String can be found by killing spiders, striders, and cats, breaking cobwebs, looting, or fishing. They can also be given as gifts from cats or bytrading with piglins. Rabbit hide is obtained through killing rabbits, foxes, or as a gift from cats.

With rabbit hide and string in your inventory, it’s time to make a bundle. Head over to a crafting table or open up your inventory. In thecrafting grid, place your rabbit hide in the top middle slot, the three bottom slots, and the middle left and middle right slots. Place the string in the top left and top right slots. Drag the newly made bundle into an empty slot in your inventory to start using it.

How To Use Bundles

Keep Important Items With You

Open your Inventory andpick up the bundle. Hover over the items you want to store in the bundle and click on them. Alternatively, you may pick up each item individually and hover over the bundle to store them. Thebar at the bottom of the bundlewill tell how full it is, so store as much as you can until it’s full.

Item stacks affect bundles. You can mix stackable item types up to 64 or have two different items stacked up to 32 or 16. All items behave according to stack size, meaning unstackable items will fill a bundle immediately.

Taking items out of a bundle is easy:left-click the bundleto pick it up and thenright-click on an empty spacein your inventory. The last item placed in your bundle will appear there. Hovering over the bundle and right-clicking also removes the most recently stored item.

To remove an item stored earlier, hover over the bundle and scroll on the sub-menu that appears. Right-click the item you wish to take out, and it will appear in an inventory slot. If your bundle has over eight items inside, you’ll need to empty several items before being able to access earlier ones. Toquickly empty a bundle, move the bundle to yourhotbarand right-click it while outside of your inventory. All contents in yourMinecraftbundle will be emptied.
