How To Go On A Romantic Date In The Sims 4
Schedule A Date
The first step to a romantic date inThe Sims 4: Lovestruckis to plan and schedule a date with your potential partner andask them to join you. There are several ways to go about this, such as using the Relationship menu.
If you are already in a relationship with a Sim,EA Helpdemonstrates that you can immediately head to the Romance section of your significant other and select the’Ask to Create a Date’at the bottom of the screen.
For the single Sims out there, you’re able to use Cupid’s Corner, the onlinedating app onThe Sims 4: Lovestruck, to meet someone interested in a romantic connection. If you find a match here, you canselect’Ask to Create a Date’from the favorites tab. This will allow you to choose the Romantic Date option and fill in the requirements to start the date.
This also works if you want to set up a blind date for those feeling adventurous. Remember that you can also be asked on dates by other Sims, allowing you to either accept or deny depending on how you feel.
If you ask a Sim out, you become the Host and the Sim the Date, and vice versa if you were asked out.Being the Host gives you creative control over setting up the dateand making it as romantic as possible. This still applies to Romantic Dates with Sims you are already in a relationship with. Securing a partner doesn’t mean you can stop putting effort into impressing your Date or creating a good quality event.
Like other socialevents inThe Sims 4,dates have anevent score, which can be found in the top-left cornerof the screen. This score is based on how many goals you complete on the date, gradually filling up the more you achieve within the time limit. As long as you continuously complete these objectives on each date, you will likely win the heart of your potential Sim partner and build a romantic relationship together.
Exceptional dates of good quality may even win you some prizes added to your inventory, such as a Capture the Memory Photograph of you and your Sim Date, commemorating the fun and meaningful connection you shared.
As the date commences, it’s possible that yourpartner may request to extend the date, showcasing they’re enjoying themselves in your company and that you met all their requirements when completing the event goals.
If your feelings are reciprocated and you’d also like to move things forward, accepting means thatyour Sim partner will come back home with you, where you can continue to spend time together after the date. If things go really well, this may lead to a night ofWoohoo inThe Sims 4.
On the contrary, if you’re not feeling that same spark or aren’t ready to move things along just yet, you can reject this prospect, or evenend the date early by clicking the timer on the event, and confirming your decision. You can also tell your Date directly that you’ve decided you’re leaving from the social pie chart, but note that doing so may not lead to a romantic relationship in the future.
