Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Completeshares several similarities with its predecessor and otherAnimal Crossinggames. One similarity is resource gathering and using those resources to build furniture and clothing. InPocket Camp Complete, resources are also used to build and upgrade tent amenities, which helps improve the campsite and attracts new animals. Wood is a main resourceused in building amenities and crafting furniture.
While wood is easily collected from trees inotherAnimal Crossinggames likeNew Horizons, collecting wood isn’t so easily accessible inPocket Camp.Pocket Campfeatures plenty of trees, but unlike previous games, trees are, ironically, not a source of wood. This makes obtaining wood a bit trickier than in otherAnimal Crossingtitles, but there are still ways to collect this valuable resource efficiently.

Where To Get Wood
Complete Requests And Build Friendship Levels
If you want to gather wood in the newPocket Camp Complete, the best route is tobefriend certain animals. Befriending animals and increasing their friendship level to three will start giving you rewards like Bells and crafting materials. A wide variety of animal types produce wood as a reward, so you’ll likely be able to find one that fits into your campsite. If not,you can always swap them out when you’re set on wood.
“This Is The Crossover I Need”: Animal Crossing Fan Designs Perfect Cat Villagers Inspired By Pokémon
This Animal Crossing: New Horizons fan stunned the Animal Crossing community with their Pokémon-inspired cat villager redesigns.
Animals that give wood as a reward inPocket Camp CompleteincludeAlligators, Cats, Chickens, Frogs, Hamsters, Rabbits, and Squirrels. My favorite animal type is Cats, and I always have them at my campsite, so I’m always good on wood. To increase your friendship with these animals and increase your chance of receiving wood, make sure thatyou speak to them when prompted and complete any requests they have.

You’ll often receive notice when villagers need to speak to you. Remember them and talk to them as requested.
Visiting animals usuallyhave three requests for you to fulfill where they ask for certain items. Delivering these items to them will increase their friendship level and reward them with goodies. Sending animals gifts is another way to increase friendship and receive gifts or rewards in return.

Besides increasing friendship levels with certain animal types, you’re able to also complete Stretch Goals to obtain wood. Stretch and Timed Goals can only be completed once, but it’s a decent way to obtain some wood starting out. For new players, picking up five seashells will complete a Stretch Goal and reward you with 30 wood.
While it was once possible to trade items with friends inPocket Camp, the Complete versionno longer features multiplayer capabilities. That doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty ofnew features to check out inPocket Camp Complete, though they don’t guarantee wood. Lastly, the Shovelstrike Quarry occasionally produces wood.

What Wood Is Used For & How To Use It
Build Tent Amenities And Furniture With Wood
Unlike other resources like cotton inPocket Camp Complete, wood is not used to craft clothing items. However, wood is commonly needed to build tent amenities and furniture, which are important in improving your campsite and drawing in new animals. While it isn’t too difficult to get when catering to certain animal species,it’s still valuable and should be hoarded, as you’ll need a lot to build and upgrade certain items.
Even if you think you have enough wood and want to sell some, wood only sells for 10 Bells a piece and is not worth it in the long run. You can never have too much wood. Some tent amenities requiring wood include the Street Set, Rock Stage, Tree Swing, Merry-Go-Round, and Tree House. Each requires around 30 to 50 pieces of wood for the base, butthe upgrades also require more wood.

Cotton is another valuable and uncommon resource needed to craft amenities and furniture, so make sure to hoard that resource, too!
Furniture items inPocket Camp Completeoften require wood to make, too. Anything fromfences to chairs, benches, sofas, beds, and potted plants requires wood. How much wood is required varies depending on the item. Picket fences only require six pieces of wood, but the white lattice fence needs 120. Furniture not only attracts new animals and improves their mood but also helps you build a unique campsite.

While you’re able to’t use wood to craft clothing items, you can still craft plenty of clothing items with other resources. Plus, you canimport custom designs.
To use wood to craft amenities and furniture inAnimal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete, simply select the Craft option at the bottom left of your screen. Scroll through your options and choose the item you want to make. Most will require Bells and other resources, too. There are plenty of options for furniture and tent amenities, and many of them require wood, making wood one of the most valuable resources to have. So, it’s better to keep wood than sell or dispose of it.
