Finding and beating the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant boss inGenshin Impactis an important step if you intend on Ascending and leveling certain characters from the region of Natlan. Alongside the Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King, Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant is one of the bosses added with Version 5.0 for HoYoverse’s popular action RPG. While the Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King is an overgrown Yumkasaurus, the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant is an overgrown Qucusaur, which has yet to be introduced as a playableSaurian type inGenshin Impact. The boss, however, is a teaser for the creature’s future release in upcoming patches.

In the lore, Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant is an abnormality among its species. The creature is rumored to be a companion to ancient heroes of Natlan, though it slowly started to lose its sanity – the outcome of the story is unknown, but the game teases that there was not a happy ending to its relationship with these heroes, which granted it its title of Tyrant. Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant’s power is reflected in the boss battle in its arena in Natlan. However, before you face the boss from Version 5.0, you need to find Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant’s location inGenshin Impact.

Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant Boss Location In Genshin Impact

There Are Two Paths To This Natlan Enemy’s Location

The Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant boss is hidden within a cave in Natlan. To be more specific, you can find Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant near the Huitztli Hill subregion, north of the Stadium of the Sacred Flame. This cave is an underground region and there are two methods of reaching its location. The first is by following the eastern path on the outside of the Huitztli Hill, as seen in the image above, provided byHoYoLAB’s interactive map. You should be able to quickly dispatch enemies and reach the cave’s entrance inGenshin Impact. Moving forward, you can unlock a Teleport Waypoint.

Technically, this is the easiest way of reaching the boss, and unlocking the Waypoint from here is much easier than backtracking from the boss’ arena via the second method.

The second way of reaching the arena where the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant resides is through a hole in the ground, directly above the arena. The boss’ icon should appear on your in-game map, so you could give yourself the trouble of climbing to the higher plains of Huitztli Hill and jumping through the hole.As soon as you start descending and approaching the arena, the boss fight should start, so you may not have time to prepare accordingly. This is another reason the first path to the Natlanboss inGenshin Impactis recommended.

Tips & Strategies To Beat Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant In Genshin Impact

This Natlan Boss Enters An Invulnerable State

The battle against this boss is not especially difficult, but Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant, also known as Holawaqa Ngoubou, has a few tricks up its sleeve, including one that prevents it from even taking damage. As such, it is best to know some of its strategies – before that, it is ideal to prepare a team comp that is ready to face it without any disadvantages.Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant has high Resistance to Pyro DMG, meaning you should try to useGenshin Impactcharacters of other elements to face it.

However, use elements that react with Pyro, because of a specific mechanic employed by the boss.

Genshin Impact’s Xilonen poses next to the Chain Breaker, Ring of Yaxche, and Earth Shaker weapons.

Despite its increased Resistance to Pyro, it is possible to beat Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant with a Pyro DPS, for instance, though you will likely be subjecting yourself to a needless level of difficulty, especially when farming Ascension materials requires quick completion of these world boss fights – for reference,Goldflame Qucusaur drops Mark of the Binding Blessing, which is one ofMualani’s Ascension materials inGenshin Impact. This also means you will be facing this boss a few times, so it is best to know which of its moves and mechanics you should be wary of.

Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant has a few different melee moves that it will use in its regular form. All of these melee attacks have a wide and long range, so you should be ready to move backward or to the sides as soon as you see it preparing an attack. Some of the melee moves to be on the lookout for are its charge attacks– not only are they the most powerful ones in this category, but they can be tough to dodge if you are too close to the boss while draining its HP inGenshin Impact.

All New Craftable Weapons In Genshin Impact 5.0

Five new free and craftable weapons have been added to Genshin Impact 5.0’s Natlan region, and each of them is spectacular in its own way.

These moves, however, are not part of the central mechanic of Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant’s fight. The main mechanic employed by this Natlan boss involves its transformation into its Golden Flame state. Upon transforming, the boss changes its body and flies upward. From there, the boss will be invulnerable to all types of damage, meaning there is no use in trying to attack it in this state. In this state, the boss will mainly use two attack patterns – one of them is a dive, which you should dodge out of the way since it deals Pyro DMG in an AoE.

The other attack pattern to be on the lookout for is its feather spray. Flying around in its Golden Flame state, the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant boss will fire a barrage of fiery feathers toward the player, ending with a stronger feather that deals damage in an AoE. After this final feather hits, it will stick to the ground. As exemplified by the boss’ in-game tutorial inGenshin Impact, this Flamewind Feather should be destroyed, and the best way of doing this is using elemental types of damage that react with Pyro, as was previously mentioned.

Once the feather is destroyed, Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant will transform back to its original state and tumble down in the arena. It will remain stunned for a long time, which is the perfect opening for your team comp to unleash its full damage potentialwithout the risk of being hit. If you fail to destroy the Flamewind Feather, the boss will dive down onto it and retake the skies until you are able to destroy it. This is the main gimmick for this boss fight.

How The New Genshin Impact 5.0 Character & Weapon Banner Rates Work

Players will see a series of positive changes to the mechanics of both the limited character and weapon banners starting with Genshin Impact 5.0.

It is, however, entirely possible to defeat Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant without it ever entering its Golden Flame state, provided you deal enough damage to it before it attempts the transformation. In general, this is a fairly easy boss fight, though not understanding the mechanics and possible attacks could make the challenge more difficult inGenshin Impact.
