The Video Game Designer Liked The Movie

While he is mostly known for his work in the video game industry, creating games likeDeath Strandingand theMetal Gearfranchise, Kojima’s movie and TV reviews have earned him a new following. The creator has particularly commented on many superhero projects, and fans always worry that their favorite movie or show will getKojima’s one-sentence treatment. Our Take On Hideo Kojima’s Joker 2 Review

I Don’t Agree With Kojima’s Joker 2 Prediction

Sadly, I did not enjoyJoker: Folie à Deuxnearly as much as Kojima did. While I was also interested in the examination of whether Joaquin Phoenix’s character was truly Arthur Fleck or the Joker at his core, I don’t believe thatJoker: Folie à Deuxmanaged to make the execution land. I did not find the movie exciting or really thought-provoking beyond what we already knew about the character. As such, I don’t believe thatJoker: Folie à Deux’s reputation will change in the future like Hideo Kojima does.

Joker: Folie à Deux is the sequel to Todd Phillips' critically acclaimed comic book thriller Joker. Reprising his Academy Award-winning performance as the failed comedian Arthur Fleck, Joaquin Phoenix revisits the iconic DC character alongside Lady Gaga, who makes her debut as Joker’s lover Harley Quinn in this standalone continuity of the DC Universe.
