Glen Powell’s new erotic thriller has now found a studio following an intense bidding war that went into the seven figures. THRnow reports thatHomewreckers, Powell’s next project, has landed at Legendary after an enthusiastic bidding war between studios. In addition to the story for the film itself, the package includes an unpublished three-chapter story from Neil M. Paik.Homewreckers, which is described as an “erotic thriller with a sci-fi twist,” is reported to have sold to Legendary for a seven-figure sum, with an additional seven figures for Paik to pen the screenplay.
Legendary is said to have outbid other major studios like Warner Bros. Sony, Lionsgate, and New Regency, with the bidding ultimately coming down to Legendary and Lionsgate after first getting started in the mid-six figures. TheTHRreport also notes thatthe tone forHomewreckersis described as a cross between the works of Adrian Lyne (Fatal Attraction) and Alex Garland(Ex Machina, Annihilation). Powell will both produce the film and star in it.
