My Hero Academia’smanga has concluded, featuring the removal ofDeku’sOne For All Quirk and his new job as a teacher, a fate that some fans are less than satisfied with. I disagree though, and feel that not only is Deku’s Quirklessness now a good thing,he should have stayed Quirkless throughout the entire story, and it was never necessary for him to inherit One For All at all.
Contrary to what some fans may believe, with Deku’s motivation,a Quirk was never needed for him to become a hero. One For All certainly helped him expand the limits of what he was capable of, but using his creativity and ingenuity, Deku could still have excelled at U.A. High without ever obtaining a Quirk, and this example he could have set, that Quirkless individuals can still be heroes, would have been even more inspirational.

Deku Was Willing To Train Hard and Come Up With Creative Solutions, Even Without a Quirk
My Hero Academia’s Epilogue Never Answered The Series' Biggest Mystery
Now that My Hero Academia is over for good with the final epilogue, the series’s most pressing question seems like it will never be answered.
It was wonderfully lucky that All Might’s Quirk was transferable, but had it not been, I believe the potential for greatness that caused him to choose Deku in the first place would still have been visible to him. For ten months, Deku trained tirelessly to get into U.A. and prepare his body to handle such an intense Quirk, but Deku was able to become powerful and muscular through those months even without a Quirk. Scenes like these prove thatDeku has the willingness to work hard and develop himself into an ideal hero, Quirk or no Quirk.

With the Use of Support Items, Like All Might’s Hero Suit, Deku Could Have Fought While Quirkless
Other Heroes Like Bakugo and All Might, Who Have Quirks, Used Support Items, so Deku Could Certainly Utilize These Tools
Many Quirkless and temporarily Quirkless characters, as well as even heroes with Quirks, have relied on support items, so it would not be unusual for Deku to integrate this equipment into his hero work. In the Final War with Shigaraki and All For One, after All Might was virtually powerless and very vulnerable to the villains' attacks, he donned a supersuit called Armored All Might, that he later allowed one of his students, Bakugo, to use. If Deku had stayed Quirkless,he could have had a similar suit built to protect him and allow him to fighton par with Pro Heroes.
My Hero Academia: Every One For All Quirk Deku Can Use, Explained
Deku became the greatest hero in My Hero Academia, and to do so, he cleverly employed all the seven quirks he was gifted.
Deku is no stranger to support items, visiting the Department of Support often with ideas on how to improve his current repertoire of equipment. When One For All was damaging his arms, he had a wristband named Full Gauntlet built to ensure he would not hurt his arms beyond repair. With the innovative ideas Deku has already shown he can dream up, it would havemade sense for him to be a Quirkless hero who uses support items. Since he was obsessed with heroes and kept a notebook of their abilities and their best moments, he would surely have no shortage of ideas.

A Quirkless Hero Would Set a Motivational Example for Others Without Powers
20% of People inMy Hero AcademiaHave No Quirk, so Deku Could Show Them That Anyone Can Be a Hero
Finally, one of the most important reasons that Deku should have stayed Quirkless inMy Hero Academiais because becoming a hero while Quirkless would have been even more inspiring, setting an example for others without a Quirk that nothing is impossibleand Quirk power is not necessary to save others. Deku is often considered the series' most relatable and human character anyway, since he changed from an average person to a supercharged hero over a short time, and was not born mighty like many of the other people around him. Although his journey is inspiring as it stands, him staying Quirkless would have been more impactful in my opinion.
What Happens to Deku and His One for All Powers in My Hero Academia’s Finale
My Hero Academia’s final battles took almost everything Deku had to win, but the ending included a surprising twist for him and the One For All Quirk.
Although 80% of the people in the world have Quirks inMy Hero Academia,Deku could have been a valuable inspiration to the 20% of humans like him, many of whom likely share Deku’s dream and wish to become heroes too, but feel that they cannot with their lack of powers. If Deku had fought some of the world’s toughest villains like Stain, Overhaul, Shigaraki, and All For One, all without a Quirk, others without Quirks could have taken his example as proof that a Quirk is not a requirement to accomplish similar feats and keep the world safe from evil.

The Traits That Make Deku a Hero Would Still Be Present Even Without a Quirk
Deku’s Work Ethic, Creativity, and Resilience Still Stand Without One For All
What makesDekuMy Hero Academia’sgreatest herois not his Quirk, it is his sense of justice, his readiness to work hard, his boundless inventiveness, and his passion for saving people. Deku stands out to me as one of anime’s most encouraging heroes because of his relatability, and him being Quirkless only heightens this factor, forcing him to rely more on his own training and ideas for support items to achieve success. The road to becoming a hero would have been much harder for Deku to embark on without One For All, but Ihave no doubt he still would have accomplished his goal.
Some fans are disappointed byDeku’s final role, since he lost his Quirk and became a teacher rather than a Pro Hero. However, this ending to his character arc could not be any more perfect, since I feel Deku should have stayed Quirkless from the beginning. Although many viewers feel Deku’s hero days are over, that is far from true, sincehe still possesses the necessary support items and boundless determination that helped himduring his earlierMy Hero Academiadays.Dekuis starting out on a new chapter of his journey, defying the notion that a hero needs a Quirk to help others.
