As expected, the new Sew Delightful update inDisney Dreamlight Valleyhas brought with it the new winter Star Path, Frost & Fairies. Although the developers teased clues about what players could expect, many were still concerned that they would see a return of holiday-themed items rather than a more original idea.
Thankfully, that was not the case, and while there are still some holiday-feeling rewards, the rest are primarilythemed around a frosted fairy wonderland that’s reminiscent of the Winter Woodsfrom Disney’sSecret of the Wings. Unfortunately, as is usually the case, most of the cosmetic rewards remain part of the premium version of the Star Path.

The Frost & Fairies Star Path Is Everything Players Hoped For This Winter
A New Bonus Star Path Means Even More Rewards
Steering away from the holiday theme, theFrost & Fairies Star Pathembraces everything about winter with an overall icy blue feel to its rewards. The free path offers rewards focused around furniture items, primarily for the outdoors, while the premium path offers more cosmetic rewards, including a new winter cosmetic for the Fairy Godmother. Unfortunately, most of the furniture items are adorned with blankets of snow, so there are very few locations where they will blend seamlessly into the valley.
How To Get Free Moonstones In Disney Dreamlight Valley
Moonstones are valuable in-game currency in Disney Dreamlight Valley and luckily, there are a few different ways to get them completely for free.
The most exciting thing, however, is thatDisney Dreamlight Valleyoffers something unique to this Star Path. As opposed to the traditional bonus where players exchange their remaining currency for Moonstones, players now have the option to participate in a bonus Star Path. This second Star Path is unlocked after completing the primary one and is exclusive to premium players. Unlike the traditional Star Path,it offers a slightly different theme based on Spring Fairy items.

Players needn’t worry though, there are still moonstone exchange rewards at the end of the bonus Star Path if players manage to get through everything else. It’s unclear whether this bonus reward path is a one-time featureor will be the normal moving forward with Star Paths. Regardless, it is exciting to have more rewards that center around a secondary theme, even if it will take longer to reach the moonstone exchange now.
Players Want New & Original Ideas For Star Paths
Holiday Themes Are Great, But Players Want Unique Seasonal Ideas
As mentioned, while holiday themes are appreciated, not everyone is keen to see a Christmas-inspired Star Path every winter. Despite some of the backlash that theFall Night Show Star Pathreceived for not being themed around Halloween, many players were still vocal about the fact that they didn’t mind having an original Star Path idea for Fall, they just didn’t exactly enjoy the specific one that was selected.
Disney Dreamlight Valley: These Crops In The Storybook Vale Will Make You The Most Money
Seeds for Disney Dreamlight Valley’s regular cash crop, Pumpkins, aren’t available in the Storybook Vale, but two other crops can turn a big profit.
Instead,it seems long-term players are more interested in themes that surround the season itselfand give a nod to iconic Disney IPs. However, this means that new players are forced to miss out on holiday items since they weren’t playing the game during previous years. Although the items do later appear in the premium shop, they cost considerably more than they would have if players had just obtained them during the event.

I’m Obsessed With This New Disney Dreamlight Valley Feature In Storybook Vale
One feature stands out in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s second DLC expansion, Storybook Vale as being one of the most fun additions to the game.
Then again, that is just the nature of ongoing games. There’s nothing wrong with developers rewarding a player base that has been committed to the game from the start by leaving certain items exclusive to certain periods. That being said, discouraging new players simply because they didn’t play sooner isn’t the answer either, so the game’s current method of offering items later in theDisney Dreamlight Valleypremium shopfor an increased price is a decent solution.

Are Holiday-Themed Star Paths Gone For Good?
Despite A Lack Of Holiday Star Paths This Year, It’s Unlikely We’ve Seen The Last Of Them
While it does seem thatDisney Dreamlight Valleyopted away from using traditionalholiday-themed Star Pathsthis year, it seems doubtful that they will do away with the concept for good. Since the game is still only a few years old, it’s important to offer players a variety, but eventually, they’re bound to circle back as new players continue to join and returning players grow tired of the same old holiday-themed decorations.
Everything You Need To Know About Disney Dreamlight Valley’s New Floating Islands
Disney Dreamlight Valley’s long-awaited Floating Islands are almost here and will completely change the way players decorate their valleys.
At the very least, players can likely expect a more seasonal-appropriate Star Path for future years after the negative reaction to not having a fall-themed Star Path this past October. Additionally, if the bonus path remains a part of futureDisney Dreamlight ValleyStar Paths, this may provide a way for the developers to offer the best of both worlds to new and returning players. The main theme could offer something unique, while the bonus theme could provide holiday-specific rewards.
