The characters in theHonkai: Star Rail2.7 banners have been leaked, giving players insight into what they can expect from the gacha system during the upcoming patch, including the possible 5-star Light Cones that will appear.Version 2.7 is the next major patch for HoYoverse’s turn-based RPG as the game draws closer to the end of Version 2.6, the update that took players back to the planet of Penacony and introducedRappa inHonkai: Star Rail. The developments of Version 2.6 are not too relevant, but they set the terrain for some of the new content in Version 2.7.

Other than teasing the two new characters, Sunday and Fugue, HoYoverse has not revealed more details about the patch. The leaks about Version 2.7’s character banners have been mostly scarce up until now and, with the Version 2.7 livestream arriving soon, it should not take too long for players to have official confirmation on who they will see in the Phase 1 and Phase 2 banners soon. Nevertheless,a recent leak has indicated the characters that will appear in rerun bannersin addition to the aforementioned presences of Fugue andSunday inHonkai: Star Rail2.7.

Two New 5-Star Characters Are Confirmed For Honkai: Star Rail 2.7

Jing Yuan & Firefly May Rerun Alongside Sunday & Fugue’s Debuts

While there is still discussion on the possibility of a new Indelible Coterie banner event, which would bring three 5-star rerun characters into a single banner in one of the patch’s Phases, it seems like Version 2.7 will feature a traditional banner structure, with two 5-star banners per Phase. As was previously mentioned,Fugue and Sunday are confirmed to be the new 5-star characters in the patch, and they should each occupy their own individual banners. In addition to them, new information provided by StepLeaks indicates the rerun characters inHonkai: Star Rail2.7: Jing Yuan and Firefly.

Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 Leaks: Herta May Be Invaluable In Exploration, Too

New leaks about 5-star Herta in Honkai: Star Rail hint that she will have a useful ability outside of battle, in addition to the leaks about her kit.

The leak was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” onReddit. The leaker does not explicitly mention thatJing Yuan and Firefly will be the rerun characters, but teases that it is the case – this action of posting images of characters with edited faces before an official announcement has become a recurring procedure among leakers in the game. Rerun characters are hard to predict with precision.

Leaked Phase 1 Character Banners In Honkai: Star Rail 2.7

Sunday May Make His Debut In Early December

While this has yet to be confirmed by the developer, the announcement order and rumors indicate that Sunday will make his debut in Phase 1 banners of Version 2.7.Sunday is confirmed to be a 5-star Imaginary character who follows the Path of the Harmony, which means he is a support unit in team comps. Leaks about Sunday’s gameplay kit, compiled onHoney Hunter World, show that Sunday is a specialist in increasing his team’s overall damage output, and will work well with DPS characters inHonkai: Star Rail.

Honkai: Star Rail Leaks Show One Path Is Taking A Devastating Blow In Version 3.0 & Forward

One of Honkai: Star Rail’s most important Paths may become temporarily obsolete with the arrival of Version 3.0 and its subsequent patches.

One of the most notable aspects in Sunday’s leaked gameplay kit is his ability to target both an ally and their summon, meaning that any summons used by that ally will also deal more damage when attacking opponents. This could work well with existing characters that summon allies, such as Jing Yuan and Lingsha, but also future characters who may play with the rumored Servant mechanic like Aglaea and theRemembrance Trailblazer inHonkai: Star Rail3.0. Sunday also advances their actions, can help regenerate Energy, buff CRIT Rate, and even dispel a debuff, according to the leaked kit.

Based on the order presented in the leaks, Jing Yuan may be the rerun character in Version 2.7’s Phase 1 banners. Jing Yuan is a 5-star Lightning DPS on the Path of the Erudition. He specializes in dealing multi-target damage but mostly through his summon, Lightning-Lord. Jing Yuan has been powercrept by several releases after his own, but he may actually return to the meta, depending on whether the leaks about Sunday’s kit are true and how well Sunday can buff Jing Yuan and his summon.

Together, they should make for a powerful pair, which contributes to the credibility that Jing Yuan would rerun in the same Phase as Sunday inHonkai: Star Rail.

Leaked Phase 2 Character Banners In Honkai: Star Rail 2.7

Fugue May Arrive In Late December

With Sunday rumored to be the new 5-star character in Phase 1, Fugue is expected to appear in Version 2.7’s Phase 2 banners. The 5-star version of Tingyun is confirmed to be a Fire character on the Path of the Nihility. While debuffing is certainly part of her leaked kit, as seen onHoney Hunter World, she can allegedly buff allies, operating as a hybrid support. The leaks say that Fugue can increase an ally’s Break Effect by 50% and allow them to deal Toughness-reducing DMG, even if the buffed character doesn’t match the enemy’s Weaknesses inHonkai: Star Rail.

Honkai Star Rail Leaks: New Trailblazer Update Could Bring The Character Up To The Current Cosmetic Standard With Special Path Animations

New details about an update to the Trailblazer in a future Honkai: Star Rail patch have emerged, including mentions of their fourth playable Path.

Additionally, Fugue is rumored to be able to reduce the DEF stat on the enemy hit by her buffed ally, making them even more susceptible to incoming damage. Furthermore,Fugue herself can deal Toughness-reducing DMG to enemies and can even enable allies to deal Super Break DMG against targets. Fugue can also delay enemy actions and recover Skill Points, making her even more valuable. The leaks show that Fugue will be a superb support unit for Break DMG team comps, such as those led by Boothill or Firefly.

It was originally believed Fugue would be a substitute for theHarmony Trailblazer inHonkai: Star Railbut, instead, it seems like she will be a good pair for the main character as they hypercarry Break DMG DPS units.

This could explain why Firefly is listed as the 5-star rerun character in Phase 2 banners of Version 2.7, too. The Fire character on the Path of the Destruction is a marvelous DPS unit that deals Break DMG. Along with the Harmony Trailblazer,Firefly can deal a devastating amount of Super Break DMG to enemies. Firefly is well-established as one of the best DPS characters, though she relies heavily on the presence and build of support units that make her Break DMG even more powerful – and Fugue could become essential toFirefly’s team comps inHonkai: Star Rail.

Honkai Star Rail Leaks: 5-Star Herta May Be Just As Strong As Acheron

The rumored 5-star form of Herta in Honkai: Star Rail may match the power level set by Acheron during her release earlier this year in Version 2.1.

There are also rumors that Boothill, Seele, Dr. Ratio, Silver Wolf, and Jade are bound to rerun soon, and they could appear in any of the rerun banners in Version 2.7, debunking the current leaks. The rumors should all be taken with a grain of salt, as they may be incorrect or subject to change. Even though it is worth looking out for some rerun characters, it seems like most ofHonkai: Star Rail2.7’s attention will be shifted toward Sunday and Fugue, who promise to be game-changing units for the months to come.
