TheSolo Levelingweb novel officially ended in 2018, and its webtoon adaptation eventually wrapped up in November 2024. Just before then, however, a spin-off sequel series titledSolo Leveling: Ragnarokmade itswebtoon debut in August 2024. The series web novel version is written by Daul, rather thanSolo Leveling’s Chugong, though the creator of the original series has lent his support to the new writer.

The series follows Sung Suho, Sung Jinwoo’s son, as he ventures into a world featuring the same dungeons and gates in which his father made his name. Suho, a college student, does not qualify to become a hunter until conflict breaks out, and he’s presented with the choice to become a player, just as Jinwoo was before. The series is still currently ongoing, though when theSolo Levelinganime eventually comes to an end, there is little reason its sequel series won’t also be adapted.

Solo Leveling Has Other Projects in the Works

Side Stories Diving Into the Histories of Igris and Ashborn Are On the Horizon

Solo Leveling: Ragnarokisn’t the only side story the franchise has in production, as theseries' creator Chugong confirmedthere are Igris and Ashborn origin stories in the works as of January 2025. The very first member of Sung Jinwoo’s shadow army,Igris instantly became a fan-favorite after headlining Season One’s best fight, and has only continued gaining fans fighting on Jinwoo’s side. Both stories, whenever they are released, will also be candidates for anime adaptations of their own.

Solo Levelingis in the midst of an incredibly successful second season, and fans can be certain there is much more to come down the line.
