The open world in Massive Entertainment’sStar Wars Outlawshas so much to see and do when not progressing through Kay Vess' main adventure. From eavesdropping on conversations in packed cantinas for more intel that can lead to treasure, to playing Sabacc or partaking in Speeder races, there’s plenty of reason to just wander around the planets between missions, and therefore, there’s plenty that players can easily miss first time around if they’re racing toward the game’s conclusion, and may only discover if they jump back in after the end credits have rolled.
Some of these missed moments tie directly into thehappiness of Kay’s Merqaal companion, Nix. Throughout the game, Nix rarely leaves Kay’s side and can help with a variety of different actions from opening doors to distracting and pickpocketing guards. When not engaged in such activities, however, the duo can share some adorable bonding moments on each of the planets.

Star Wars Outlaws Review: Dazzling Hives Of Scum & Villainy
Star Wars Outlaws focuses on a grimier, seedier side of the universe with a rich, detailed open world that features both new and legacy characters.
Kay & Nix Share A Meal On Each Planet In Star Wars Outlaws
Each Planet Has Their Own Distinct Delicacies
Whenroaming on a planet, Nix may smell something and begin to run off, and if Kay follows him instead of continuing on her path, he can lead her directly to one of the various food vendors scattered throughout the game. Upon arriving at the vendor and selecting a prompt, Kay and Nix are treated to one of the planets' distinct delicacies from Tatooine’s spicy Sketto Chuga to Kijimi’s frozen Duradan soup.
After some adorable and unique cutscenes plays out in which the duo eats each meal - which can involve a QTE minigame if players don’t toggle it off in the menu - that food is then made available as a “Nix Treat” in his bowl on The Trailblazer.Equipping a certain kind of meal for Nix can unlock specific perks for general gameplay, making it worth checking these vendors out for those who are less fussed with watching a cute bonding moment between Kay and her Merqaal.

Eating a meal is a good way to raise Nix’s happiness too.
Each meal the duo can share, and their perks for Nix, are as follows:
Kijimi
Duradan Soup
Nix can distract multiple enemies at a time, but the distract range is reduced.
Tatooine
Sketto Chuga
Nix attacks now make enemies wreak havoc, causing them to shoot wildly in all directions.
Nix will kick grenades away from Kay.
Only one Nix treat can be equipped at a time.
These skills are certainly worth picking up, as they can greatly help withStar Wars Outlaws' stealth sections, asusing Nix to distract guardscan make all the difference in getting through an area undetected. Alternatively, for those who prefer a more action-packed approach, making it so Nix will clear any grenades out of the near vicinity can save Kay from getting easily dominated in battle.
