Fortunately, Termnlychill91 has revealed how this works, as they stated thatthe butt is held on by magnets and is fully detachable.
While the butt is a novelty, and the main reason many wanted the controller, it’s for the best that Xbox has implemented this feature, especially as it is made of hard plastic, rather than something softer and more comfortable. Therefore, the controller allows for a far more normal gaming experience should players choose, and as they won’t be seeing the back of the controller while playing, it doesn’t make too much of a difference as they can still enjoy the Deadpool or Wolverine-themed design on the front as they play.
