Wolverine taunts Sabretoothas he walks across the desolate wasteland, saying that he has finally broken Creed by forcing him to resort to recruiting someone to do his fighting for him. Wolverine’s main goal in life in this story is to make Sabretooth’s existence as tortuous as possible, and these insults are arguably the worst torture Logan could have inflicted. However, the real conflict in this upcoming issue is between Wolverine and Kid Colossus, as Peter will be trying to avenge the death of his father, since Colossus was murdered by Wolverine.

Kid Colossus’ Revenge on Wolverine, Explained

Why Wolverine Murdered Colossus (& is Torturing Sabretooth)

At the beginning oftheWolverine: Revengeminiseries, the entire world is on the brink of catastrophe after Asteroid M explodes above the Northern Hemisphere, creating the largest EMP ever recorded. This threw the world into a new dark age, and the only way to save everyone was to obtain a self-sustaining power source located in Russia. Nick Fury forms a team to do just that, which includes Wolverine. However, the likes of Omega Red, Sabretooth, Deadpool, Mastermind, and Colossus form their own team to stop them, despite the global ramifications.

Because of this betrayal, Wolverine vows to murder every member of that team - hence, “Wolverine: Revenge” - and Logan does just that. Wolverine kills every member one-by-one, other than Sabretooth, who he decides to torture for decades instead, as he found that to be a better punishment than death. The most heartbreaking death of them all was that of Colossus, as he and Wolverine have been friends and allies for years. But, Wolverine killed him all the same. And now, Wolverine will ‘reap what he sowed’, as Colossus’ son is about to get revenge on him.

Colossus’ Son Should Defeat Wolverine

Wolverine Has Become Twisted by Revenge, & Should Be Eliminated

At the time, Wolverine’s vengeance was justified, as these villains effectively ensured the end of the world for no other reason than their own selfishness and ignorance. Not only were they too dangerous to be allowed to live - especially as the world attempted to rebuild - but they deserved to die for what they did. That being said, in the decades that followed, Wolverine has become twisted by his revenge - Sabretooth is the living proof of that - so now would be a good time to put this ‘rabid dog’ down, and Colossus’ son should be the one to do it.

Colossus is the X-Men’s resident powerhouse, but several of his relatives are even more powerful, with a huge range of mutant powers.

Colossus may have betrayed Wolverine and doomed the world, but he was still a father to Peter, and that’s the only way his son ever saw him. This version of Colossus’ son was raised in the apocalypse, so he has no reason to mourn a world he wasn’t around to see, and the only reason he had to grow up without a father is because of Wolverine. Sure, Wolverine was justified in killing Colossus, butColossus’ son is just as justified in wanting revenge on Wolverine - though he’s in for the fight of his life.
