The worlds ofStranger ThingsandThe Electric Statecollide in a new piece of crossover art that imagines Chris Pratt entering the Upside Down. Millie Bobby Brown continues to be a fixture of Netflix’s original programming, getting her start as Eleven in the Duffer brothers' hit fantasy-horror show, which is now gearing up for the release of its final season. ArtistSonnyfiveon Instagram now imagines what these two Brown-starring properties would look like if their worlds collided in “Electric Hawkins,” withcharacters fromThe Electric Stateentering the fantasy horror world ofStranger Things. The art features Brown and Pratt as Michelle and Keats, respectively, standing with their robot companions atop a tentacle-covered hill in the Upside Down. Our Take On The Stranger Things & Electric State Crossover Art
Why An Actual Crossover Shouldn’t Happen
Even thoughThe Electric Statecastfeatures some impressive names, including Stanley Tucci, Woody Harrelson, and Giancarlo Esposito, and stunning visual effects, the movie arguably doesn’t really deliver when it comes to story. Still, though, on paper, a crossover between the film andStranger Thingsis an exciting prospect. The fact that Brown is already in both properties could also make it easy to explain a collision between these two worlds, especially sinceStranger Thingsdeals with alternate dimensions.
Although the art above teases an interesting combination of sci-fi and fantasy, an actual crossover betweenThe Electric StateandStranger Thingsseems unlikely to happen, and this is probably for the best. With the latter set to end later this year and the former falling short when it comes to quality, there’s just no need to manufacture a scenario in which the two merge into one. For now, a crossover betweenStranger ThingsandThe Electric Stateis best left in the world of fan art.
