Two new characters are joiningChicago Med’s already-large cast for season 10. The medical drama, which has been part of theOne Chicagouniversefor a decade, has had many cast changes over its run, especially in the last few years. During the series' early years, the focus was on residents Will Halstead and Connor Rhodes, neither of whom is on the series anymore, and as the series has aged, new residents and interns have been brought in as well as new senior doctors.
The series had another cast shake-up when Dominic Rains' Crockett Marcel was written out prior to the beginning of season 10.Marcel’s tragic exit fromChicago Medoccurred after the surgeon lost two patients because he had to cancel a badly-needed liver transplant for a young boy after the child developed an infection. While his absence will leave a hole in the cast,Chicago Med’s introduction of new characters will help make up the difference. The new characters will work alongside veteran doctors and nurseswho have been part of the series for a long time.
