Warning: Contains spoilers for Chainsaw Man Chapter #185

Some ofChainsaw Man’s best action sequences have come when the fully-armored version of Pochita takes center stage. The hulking Hero of Hell originally appeared during the final chapters of Part One, where he battled Makima and the other Hybrids while Denji was out of commission. Now, in Part Two of the series, Pochita is once again fighting on Denji’s behalf, andhis next opponent may just be his toughest yet.

Following a string of strange, butincredibly moving chapters,Chainsaw Manis setting up the fateful battle between Pochita and the Aging Devil. And though Chainsaw Man has already fought countless powerful devils,he’s yet to face off against one that represents a Primal fear, aside from Makima, who had other intentions than to kill the Chainsaw devil. Aging has already shown itself to be wildly powerful, and if Pochita isn’t careful, he may just lose.

Aging Devil Has Strange and Powerful Abilities

Aging Devil’s Alternate Dimension Could Be Trouble For Pochita

Earlier in Pochita’s Part Two appearance, Aging was not able to do much harm to him. On both occasions of the Primal Devil attempting to punch Chainsaw Man while using his mysterious mirror ability, it lost both its fingers and hands. Later on, however, when Yoru fired her supercharged “Bang” attack at both of them, the Aging Devil was able to stop it instantly. While its physical attacks may lack some punch,it seems to have some other, reality-bending powersthat Pochita might just be powerless against.

One of those mysterious abilities is being able to teleport others into a world of its own creation, or a sort ofpocket dimension similar toJujutsu Kaisen’s domains. Luckily for the heroes, while Denji’s body is trapped in Aging’s World, Pochita remains separated in reality. However, if the Aging Devil were to just send Pochita to its domain as well, it would spell terrible trouble forChainsaw Man’s dual protagonists.

Pochita Has Help In Aging’s World

What Denji Does In Aging’s World Effects Pochita Outside

While Pochita and Denji remain separated, they still technically share a body. And as the most recent Chapter #185 showed, through the protagonist’s genius plan of eating tree-people, what Denji does in Aging’s Worldhas a direct effect on Pochita outside the dimension. While even full-armor Chainsaw Man might have trouble with the Aging Devil’s power, Denji will theoretically be able to constantly heal him by eating from the trees.

Chainsaw Man’s recent chapters have been strange, but that isn’t unfamiliar territory for the series. Deep, personal reflection, people that turn into trees, the potential explanation of Pochita’s power, and a showdown between two of the universe’s most fearsome devils are all taking place within pages of each other. Attempting to predict the events ofChainsaw Manis about as pointless as predicting the weather, though it’s certain the story will take readers on an unexpected ride in upcoming chapters.
