‘DAT DOG

Jimmy Fallon’s “Video Game Week” is nearly at an end, and today, we get to see some extra footage forCall of Duty: Ghosts. People say I was too hard on Fallon this week, so instead I’ll focus on the positives.

First off, the video has the always amazing and talented Elijah Wood in it, so there’s that. Also, there’s tons ofdog-oriented gameplay(the dog’s name is Riley, by the way), which is awesome. This time around Jimmy and Elijah actually do a good job at showing off the game, but actor Grant Bowler fails miserably and the demo ends early.

Now, as I’ve said before, not everyone has to be a gamer, or even be skilled at games to enjoy them. But when you’re on an entertainment television shown broadcasted to millions of viewers (around 1.5m on average for Fallon, sometimes pushing 2m on TV alone), it would be nice toentertainus with a somewhat successful playthrough, so we get to see the entire demo. On the flipside, I’m sure the publishers want to be able to actually show off some of the color portions of their game as well.

One of the reasons whythe Clueless Gamer seriesis so great is due to the fact that it’s edited and taped beforehand — if the entire segment always featured Conan not being able to get past the tutorial level, it wouldn’t be nearly as enjoyable.
