In chapter 13 of theBoruto: Two Blue Vortexmanga, the titular main character was captured by Kawaki and Konohamaru. Despite being several times stronger than them, Naruto’s son had no means to escape, as he had been gravely injured by Jura. His mentor, Kashin Koji, observed the event through the eyes of one of his several toad summons, claiming that this would complicate their mission.
Despite this, Jiraiya’s clone never once showed true concern about Boruto’s predicament, almost as if he had already foreseen this situation. Several other moments in the manga have pointed atBoruto knowing much more than he lets on, like what happened in chapter #14 when Mitsuki helped him escape. It might be possible that Boruto, aided by Koji’s knowledge of the future,is aware of what is coming next for him.

Boruto Has Been Prepared For All Possible Futures
Kashin Koji Confirmed That He Shared His Knowledge With His Student
During the events of chapter 13 of theBoruto: Two Blue Vortexmanga series, Kashin Koji revealed that he had acquired an ability called Prescience. This skill, given to him thanks to the cells ofthe mysterious Shibai Otsutsuki, allows him to see all possible futures. In that same chapter, Jiraiya’s clone told Boruto that he could train him to become stronger than all other versions of himself, who he was aware had been killed by Jura at some point. It was because of this ability that the protagonist became so strong in just a couple of years.
Since Kashin Koji shared all of his knowledge about the future with Boruto, there is an enormous possibility ofthe latter being aware of all the probable events that can occur. While not ideal, his capture might have been among the futures that the Koji shared and prepared him for. This would explain why neither Boruto nor Kashin Koji seemed to be too concerned about Kawaki achieving his goal of imprisoning his former ally. This theory received more support in chapter 14 after Mitsuki helped the protagonist escape his predicament.

Up until that point in the series, Boruto had been cordial and kind toOrochimaru’s misleadingly powerful son, despite the latter trying to kill him several times since their reunion. Mocking his desire to find a person that inspires him seemed to be completely out of character. Still, if Boruto only insulted his friend to give him an excuse to help him, his unusual behavior would make much more sense. Naruto’s son knew that Mitsuki was there to help, so he aided him bygiving him a reason to fake an emotional outburst.
Boruto Could Also Have Allowed Himself To Be Captured
He Could Be Trying To Gather Intel About Konoha
Ever since theTwo Blue Vortexmanga series began, Boruto has proven time after time that he is several times more powerful, resilient, and intelligent than most shinobi. While Kashin Koji’s ability allowed him to learn jutsu that he could never have imagined, his determination and hard work helped him reach his current skill level. BesidesKurama’s sudden return, an event that neither he nor his teacher seemed to be aware of,Boruto had been prepared to deal with all of his adversaries.
His capture seems to have been the next step in his plan, in an attempt to share his knowledge with Konoha. During his imprisonment, Boruto tried to makethe stubborn and cruel village eldersunderstand the danger they were facing. Even as he was tortured, the Uzumaki heir did not stop attempting to ally with Konoha. Boruto and Koji could have predicted that Boruto would be captured to give hima chance to speak with his former allieswithout being in immediate mortal danger, as occurs during a fight.

The protagonist could have also been trying to lure Jura into a false sense of security, letting him deal the first blow to make him feel in control of the fight. When Koji talked about the Sentient God Trees, the android explained that Boruto died in all possible future at the hands of their leader. The manga hints at this death occurring during their brief fight in chapter 12. Naruto’s son prevented his death, but let Jura believe that he was still the most powerful being alive, giving the heroes more time to create a plan to take him down.
Naruto’s son is undoubtedly among the most powerful Shinobi ever. The following chapters of theBoruto: Two Blue Vortexmanga will almost certainly deal with his escape, as he cannot afford to become Kawaki’s prisoner now that Jura has begun to mobilize.
