The film was a box office success at the time, grossing $155 million worldwide despite mixed reviews from critics, but it has since developed a passionate fan following. Will It Repeat The Original’s Success?
Though it’s been almost 10 years sinceThe Accountant’s endingseemingly wrapped up the story of Affleck’s Christian Wolff, there does seem to be anticipation regarding the sequel. The fact that audiences are revisiting the original could indicate that the follow-up will find success in theaters.The Accountant 2brings back some key elements from the original, including Jon Bernthal as Christian’s brother, Brax, and Cynthia Addai-Robinson as Marybeth Medina, with a story that follows Christian and Brax as they investigate the death of J.K. Simmons' Ray King.
